  1. Is it just me or are there no good rear wings?

DO NOT pre-order anything from those guys. They make trash products. Let others be their guinea pigs.
  2. Is it just me or are there no good rear wings?

Performance Package spoiler delete is the best until something changes my mind. Haven't found one spoiler or wing that I've liked so far. They are all just tacked on and and don't flow with the body lines of the car.
  3. FRPP QUADS WITH GT350 VALENCE

All these GT350 exterior parts look like dog shit on the regular GT.
  4. Cost effective upgrades to shaker system

I feel that the shaker system (401A) is a bit gutless, both in terms of bass from the sub and the mids and highs from the other speakers, and I'd like to make some upgrades. I've tried to navigate the other threads in here but it's a bit overwhelming. Can anyone recommend some simple and cost...
  5. GT350 shift knob

What's the fascination with this shift knob? Seems ugly and if you like that style there are a lot of aftermarket knobs available.
  6. Tunes and NY Inspections

As far as I know, on this car, in New York you cannot pass inspection with catless long tube headers. To run catless headers you need to disable the rear 02 sensor so you don't get a check engine light 24/7. This however, puts those two sensors in "not ready" mode which will stop you from...
  7. Tunes and NY Inspections

They plug your car into the computer through OBDII every single time they do an inspection. It records the miles for DMV and checks all the computer emissions parameters. If it's a newer car it's some sort of "light" emissions tests but it's still plugged into the computer and you won't pass if...
  8. Tunes and NY Inspections

Right. You need to do a readiness cycle after you flash or tune, but it's not that many miles to do that. A few hundred at most. I have had people claim they can tune a high flow cat long tubed car to pass emissions. I have had others claims it's too hard. Don't have any first hand...
  9. Tunes and NY Inspections

Just to clear this thread up - you will not fail inspection because of a steeda CAI and tune. If you do, tell Steeda and they will fix your tune. There is zero reason to fail an inspection because of a tune unless you are disabling O2 sensors, making it so the testing machine can't read the ECU...
  10. Steeda CAI Review and Install Notes:

Installed mine last night in the dark. Everything went smoothly except my hands are way too big to get back into the firewall so I didn't put the plug in. It was a little difficult getting the elbow to line up nicely with the velocity stack but with some cranking down on the worm gear clamps...
  11. Long Island, NY

The toys for tots cruise, where do you meet up at 8:00am? I know there's lots of parking at the cradle of aviation museum but doesn't seem like much parking around the address on the facebook group.
  12. Steeda CAI Review and Install Notes:

I got my tune this morning... do I try to install this thing in the the dark... hmmmmmmm
  13. Tunes and NY Inspections

Your car will only fail a normal tune if you flash it too close to your inspection date and it doesn't have a chance to go through it's emission readiness tests. This also happens if you reset the computer by disconnecting the battery. Same thing. A few days and a few hundred miles of mixed...
  14. So.. I know why the Steeda CAI rubber moulding isn't installed...

Mine went on with no trouble and no lube required. Push the rubber down all the way before and after the corner before trying to push it down onto the corner. It will help align everything.
  15. Anyone figure out how to keep the fog lights on when signalling?

There are lots of federal laws about spacing and light output in regards to the different lights on your vehicle. For instance, your daytime running lights cannot be brighter than your turn signal which is why a lot of cars turn off their DRLs when their turn signal is activated. I am not...
  16. Ok stupid question but what is the wire called that connects the front splitter to..

They are there so when your splitter gets ripped off instead of just losing all the fasteners on the underside/belly pan you also leave two huge holes in your bumper cover.
  17. Watch those P Zeroes...

Yea summer tires go to shit once it gets cold out. Need to swap to snow or all season tires for the winter even if you don't plan on driving in the snow.
  18. Winter tire opinions - What do you use?

I also just installed LM32s, but on my stock PP wheels. I will report back when there's snow on the ground but so far I'm pleased with the dry weather traction and road noise.
