  2. Death and Rebirth on my 2015 Mustang GT

I've decided to do some videos for my 2015 Paxton GT as well as the '86 foxbody swap that I'm about to start. Below is a short video of my S550 before and after death. Hope you guys like it! :headbang: [ame]
  3. Anyone have experience with these cars...

I've had a decent amount of Foxbody Mustangs, here's what I learned about my experiences. Body Style- 5.0 coupe (Notchback) seems to be the most sought after model. It's also the most expensive of the the group. Super light, and it looks better than the hatchback models in my opinion...
  4. OPG FAILED last night, street car.

Glad to hear you got it back up and going!!
  5. OPG and CS poll

trust me, I know the feels of putting out of pocket for a new motor. Took me $6k to get my engine back up after rod bearing failure. I knew the car wouldn't be driven at all since I was headed overseas, so I just did OPG and saved that money since I needed it at the time. I'd agree and...
  6. '86 Coupe Project

I wanted to share my 1986 Mustang Coupe rebuild/swap project with the M6G forum. This is my 6th Mustang, 5th Foxbody, 2nd 4-eye'd fox. I had an '85 GT that was a bit of a street/grudge machine back in the early 2000's. I haven't really been too active with my S550, because I've been overseas...
  7. Anyone tried the MT ET Street 305/35/20?

I have the MT ET Street II 305/35/20 on my car. car hooks in every gear, even on the street
  8. Procharger or Paxton

After months of trying to decide, I went with Paxton, Beefcake Special due to the 'bang for buck' factor. I wanted the black finished kit and it was much cheaper than the the Procharger D1 w/black finish.
  9. OPG and CS poll

I was going to do both while I was having my motor built. Livernois had responded to one of my comments about definitely doing OPG but they didn't think CS was necessary since there hasn't been as much reporting of them failing like OPG's. I was looking to save as much as I could at the time...
  10. OPG and CS poll

only OPG (MMR), stock Timing gear
  11. 3.6" Pulley Install Paxton

i used a three jaw puller to get the 3.8 off and the 3.6 slid right on with no need for heat or anything. I did it before installing my blower though. I'm not sure if a puller would fit if mounted.
  12. What power/tq level is the stock clutch good to on street tires?

674/545, 3.31 gears and drag radials. My stock clutch starting hurting from the day I installed my Paxton. Now have an RXT.
  13. OPG FAILED last night, street car.

    That's an awesome deal man!
  14. OPG FAILED last night, street car.

If you end up needing a new motor, I would look into having forged rods and pistons put into the stock block if it's able to be used. I went this route and it ended up costing me less than the cost of a stock crate engine, and it's much stronger now. Just a suggestion to consider. Good luck man.
  15. Clutch Depresses after WOT pull at 7000 RPM or more

I had the same thing going on with my car after the Paxton. If I mashed on it, I would have to give the clutch a few pumps to get full pedal feeling again. While I was having the engine built, I swapped to the McLeod RXT in order to fix the issue.
  16. Limit of Stock engine with OPG and CG

#5 rod bearing spun. One of the main bearings spun also. Turning about 6500-6600 rpm when it happened. Tune was fine.
  17. Kooks Headers 3" to 2.5" size drop

I had a shop near my house cut off the step down and weld on the new connections when I had BBK long tubes and Gibson exhaust. It only cost me $80 and I picked the car up before lunch. Since then I've switched my setup and now have SP headers with cats and it steps down to 2.5" to connect to...
  18. Limit of Stock engine with OPG and CG

I had bottom end failure back in March, about 2k miles after I installed my Paxton, on stock motor (stock opg/cg were not damaged). I'm in the 650-675whp range. I have since added forged rods, pistons, billet OPG, etc. Judging from my experience, bottom end failure is definitely something I...
  19. Do I need a fuel pump booster?

I would recommend getting it. I have the Vortech voltage booster with my paxton, 3.6 pulley
  20. 373 rear end with supercharger?

I have 3.31s on drag radials. A very minimal amount of spin at the top of 1st gear on cooler days. Aside from that, none. I personally enjoy taller gears. I've trapped 132mph in the 1/4 mile in 4th gear with room to spare. Plus I do some long highway trips at times and it's nice to be a 670+...
