  1. Clunk / Rattle Right Rear Suspension

Surprise! Another thread talking about the clunk/rattle from the rear of these cars. I've got the BMR CB005, Steeda Jacking Rails, Steeda Billet Shock Mounts, and Steeda non-adj Struts and shocks. The clunk/rattle - let's say crattle - only happens when the right rear wheel goes...
  2. Back to stock

They really do transform the car. Also, don't be too quick on changing springs unless you're really sure it is what you want. Just my 2 cents!
  3. Back to stock

I've got base GT springs with Steeda non adjustable struts and shocks. Love it.
  4. Rear Brakes sticking?

Even a damp garage can cause this as well.
  5. Installing wheels, lugh nut torque?

[ame] Thou shalt not question thou torque spec. It was part of the lost 15 commandments. See above!
  6. Installing wheels, lugh nut torque?

Why are we arguing this point. It is 148.
  7. New 2017 Mustang GT. What to do first?

Love my generic Magnaflow axle backs with the stock resonator. Nice deep growl. No rasp or drone!
  8. Suspension advice to improve highway confidence

I've had great luck with the BMR CB005 and the Steeda Pro Action non-adjustable shocks and struts. I have the stock base GT springs and these work very well with them. I'ce posted a review elsewhere in this forum on this setup. As you research this, you'll note some people wish they could add...
  9. Steeda Fixed Valved Pro-Action Shocks & Struts (2015-2019)

It's always a balancing act, isn't it? You want the car to handle great, but you still have to get to work, go to the store, etc. Now, if this were a dedicated track car....
  10. Steeda Fixed Valved Pro-Action Shocks & Struts (2015-2019)

To recap, I've installed the non-adjustable Pro Actions on a non-PP suspension Mustang GT. A step back here - the base GT suspension was good. I believe it met the requirement for a comfortable touring car. Non-jarring, smooth ride, quiet. It did lean on track days and it did wiggle, and boy...
  11. Best phone mounting location yet (pictures) -- Post yours too.

Yeah, I had that one. I liked it, but the wife kept complaining that it interfered with where she puts her pocketbook. Off it came!
  12. Thoughts on my first upgrades to hit the track?

Norm_Peterson, I could not get CG Lock to clamp onto my 2016 seatbelts. Were you able to do that? That was why I ended up going with the Schroth Quick Fits. I send the CG Locks back...
  13. Thoughts on my first upgrades to hit the track?

Yeah, I always buy the Lockton track day insurance. Agreed value policy. It adds a few hundred to the track day expense, but worth it IMO. The stock seats do suck for track day. You're holding on for dear life in them. I purchased some Schroth quick fit harness over the winter and will be...
  14. BMR's "CB005" S550 IRS Cradle Bushing Lockout Kit - PICS & INFO!

Having just done the install on one of these kits, I would say it is possible...but you get a lot of extra room to work with the rear wheels off - especially on jack stands because you are on your back. Also, with the rear wheels loaded, it will make it more difficult to shift the cradle...
  15. Steeda Fixed Valved Pro-Action Shocks & Struts (2015-2019)

Thanks. I am happy with the stock spring rate and ride height. It's my DD. These cars do look fantastic lowered!! But I don't think that solution would work for me (yet). I do a few HPDE's throughout the summer months and am not looking for hard laptime increases. Just want to to drive in...
  16. Steeda Fixed Valved Pro-Action Shocks & Struts (2015-2019)

Just pulled the trigger on a set of non adjustable pro action front and rears. Sprung for the billet rear mounts too. I'm keeping the stock non-pp springs on the car; don't want to lower it due to the roads here in the northeast. I'll post back with a review once I install them! Steeda ensures...
  17. Thoughts on my first upgrades to hit the track?

The best upgrade for your first few track days is to upgrade the drivers seat by installing your ass in it. Get some seat time first before you spend and don't get "forum fever"!
  18. BMR's "CB005" S550 IRS Cradle Bushing Lockout Kit - PICS & INFO!

Pretty much followed the instructions. Others have had a hard time getting things to line up...I was lucky.
  19. BMR's "CB005" S550 IRS Cradle Bushing Lockout Kit - PICS & INFO!

Just finished the road test after installing the cb005. Install time was less than 2 hours with jackstands. No issues lining up the cradle. Really do notice the difference. No more arse-jiggle in corner transitions!! Running base GT suspension, (yeah, I love the COMPLIANT base suspension, body...
