Yup thatās Fords stance
If the alloy is defective, a new wheel is fitted under warranty.
itās not possible to touch it up in their state of the art body shop:headbang:
Good luck with that...
Ford advised me the corrosion on my alloys was due to stone chips and therefore not covered by warranty. There is no escalation/disagreement process. The dealers decision is final.
I struggle to see how the inside edge of the spokes are a likely target for a stone when...
If I was a gambling man I would say Euro Mach1 will be de tuned (to negate homologation costs, same reason we didnāt get Gt350/gt500) and probably replacing Bullitt.
Personally I think £50k is a big ask for this car, let alone £60/65.
At the end of the day from this thread we all recognise...
PHEV seems the logical way to go
Too many issues with charging infrastructure and especially a lack of hi po fast chargers to make pure EV a practical proposition for most people
But I guess a Stang forum will not find much love for anything electric... Clearly emissions are not a critical...
Personal choice, but not to me.
2 series be like a Bavarian Kia Sorento...
Very, very capable but a small family car, lacking in style or personality. Yes big engine, yes big wheels and yes big body kit, but itās still a small family car.
Cue Mustang, even Orangemans Camaro, give me a...
100% agree. I wouldnāt thank you for an M2 or RS3. I recognise their ability, but to me theyre just a dull family hatchback with a big engine and a tacky bodykit. The āprestigeā brand doesnāt float my boat either. Just an excuse to pump up the retail price and service costs, all that crap about...
This forum, like all forums, is full of like minded people who put their money where their mouth is and went out to live their dream. Like everything in life, if you really want something, you will forgive its shortcomings.
Yes there are faster cars, better built cars, cars with nicer...
Itās a big old beast but you do adjust to it. I use mine as a daily hack and no complaints. However itās never going to be as nimble as an M2 or A3. It takes balls to hustle it on narrow twisty B roads with blind summits like in the Lake District.
Doors are huge so get used to parking in the far...
I thought the 4th service was the grand daddy of all services including coolant change, trans oil change, brake fluid change?
I recall that there was some discussion on whether that was in the 3 year service, but my 3 year service was just the basic one.
Gregās WTF is ETIS? Link pls? Sounds...
personally I agree with you, but Bullitt sold very well. Bullitt is a very attractive car, even if it isnāt a Gt350...
Ford does a good job at making and marketing interesting cars (think ST line Fiesta/Focus and the 2 green Mustang colourways etc)
Mustang is one car which you buy with your...
As we didnāt get Gt350 or Gt500 here I doubt Ford would spend cash homologating those tasty performance parts for Europe.
I do think a mechanically watered down spec car (ie current Bullitt spec) would make a nice special edition. Perhaps its even planned to replace Bullitt in 2021?
Not sure...
I was hoping for a VAT holiday like Germany has... sadly looks like thatās not happening.
Your COVID economy needs you to spend money. On Stang parts:)
GT550 thereās an interesting documentary about S550 development on Netflix called āa faster horseā. Worth a look
Supersolo - I guess we probably have different terms for the same thing, You know stuff like how to get front end fit right when the tolerances on the hood, fender, headlight and...
By ādevelopment countermeasuresā I mean any revision to a part after itās intent is originally set. This could be a bench test failure where a component wonāt meet the target (like the robot opening & closing drawers you see in Ikea), endurance test failure of a component or assembly in a...
This did get me thinking...
However just looked at fleabay US site and the cheapest (LHD) GT350 went for 40k, plenty listed there less than 45k.
Your parts + donor RHD car would cost more than that.
So it would be a labour of love. But a pretty special one.
