Did you purchase your car from an Orlando dealership? That dealership had a difficult time moving their base R. It was white with blue ott stripes
  2. Is There Anyone Still Waiting For Their 2019 GT350?

Delays in hin getting his car equals less time for him to enjoy the car in 2019. Once 2020s hit the ground, he will have incurred depreciation for having a prior year model. Whether it be the dealership or manufacturer, his position has changed from when he 1st ordered his car. What's he...

  4. Advice/opinions = GT 350 VS. GT 350R

No. The car is good to run right out of the box.
  5. Advice/opinions = GT 350 VS. GT 350R

The stock gt350r is ready for the track out of the box. It's better than a lot of production cars out there. The upgrades that honey badger is speaking of is refinement and improvement to the vehicle. You're fine tracking your brand new gt350r as is.
  6. Advice/opinions = GT 350 VS. GT 350R

If you think checking the oil in the FPC is a Pain in the butt, try checking it with the drivers side oil separator. I literally have to bend my dipstick sideway and sneak it past the oil separator and strut brace.
  7. Is There Anyone Still Waiting For Their 2019 GT350?

My 19 performance blue GT350R has black stripes, black roof, electronics, carbon and car cover. The Kona Blue one that I was mentioning is a 72900 sticker car with black stripes, electronics ,carbon, and car cover.
  8. Is There Anyone Still Waiting For Their 2019 GT350?

Out of curiosity, What did you order for your 2019 GT350 that is so hard to find? If it's a Kona Blue GT350, I know of a dealership that is selling a rare Kona Blue GT350R at invoice. FYI - I was able to find 4 R's in the exact color combo and packages that I would want on dealer lots. I'm...
  9. Is There Anyone Still Waiting For Their 2019 GT350?

At minimum, I would start at invoice pricing. That's about 4k off sticker. Some dealers are motivated to move expensive metal as 2020's are about to hit the lot, so they'll dip into holdback and give you another 500-1000 off right now. You just have to present yourself as a serious buyer that...

  11. Advice/opinions = GT 350 VS. GT 350R

That whole weight argument went out the front door when Ford started offering the B&O sound system upgrade with the Sub in the trunk. I'm not complaining, but that's just an observation a few people made when they saw the sub in the trunk and no backseat. It's like a giant oxymoron.
  12. Advice/opinions = GT 350 VS. GT 350R

I absolutely agree with you on taking a GT350R over a GT500 any day. The dealership that sold me my 2018 GT350 offered me their unicorn GT500 Track/Carbon allocation at MSRP. I built it up to 106k, but it had a few fundamental faults for me. I wanted a old school manual transmission and the...
  13. Advice/opinions = GT 350 VS. GT 350R

The OP said I'm good at spending other peoples money. Do you need my assistance with getting your butt into a Performance Blue R at MSRP? :cwl:
  14. Advice/opinions = GT 350 VS. GT 350R

Hahaha. I've been told that I'm quite good at spending money. Take solace in knowing that it was money well spent. Btw, your R seats are more comfortable than those air conditioned seats. That's the 1st thing my wife commented on when we were driving home.
  15. Advice/opinions = GT 350 VS. GT 350R

See...I told you that there is an indescribable feeling once you take delivery of the R. The cost concerns went out the window. There is that feeling of specialness about the car that makes it all worth it. I'm glad that you are enjoying your purchase and not having any regretful thoughts!
  16. Advice/opinions = GT 350 VS. GT 350R

Make sure that the dealership gave you your adjustable strut mounts and wheels locks. It is part of your 2019 R package. You'll be surprised how many dealers forget to give it to you or didn't even know it came with them.
  17. Advice/opinions = GT 350 VS. GT 350R

I wish you the best of luck!
  18. Advice/opinions = GT 350 VS. GT 350R

I stayed off the highway and went through the rev range up to 5k. My 18 didn't burn any oil. My 19 is still full on the dipstick, but still too new to tell. All the velocity blues are in Florida, 5 that I can tell. 2 are in Michigan, but with massive markups. A few of the Florida cars are...
  19. Advice/opinions = GT 350 VS. GT 350R

I forgot to add that you can always sell your Cup2's to fund your new p4s tires. I'm sure that there are track members who would be willing to purchase your delivery mile tires.
  20. Advice/opinions = GT 350 VS. GT 350R

It depends on what you mean by giving up performance. The P4s gives up on track sticky grip performance, but gains wet weather traction and gains treadwear. Since you're not planning on tracking it, you're not really giving up much and gaining a lot more. I will give you my experience and...
