This is the biggest bump in the whole process. You basically have to take your dealer at their word that they do have an allocation. How many sad stories have there been about people paying deposits, only to eventually end up with a refunded deposit and no car months later? The car is...

It's fine that Ford wants to a arrange scheduling on a timeline rather than go by order dates, but the timeline should be publicly available to ordering customers. It would really be nice to know that you have an allocation slotted for build in X month or at least quarter. It is really irksome...

I have a 2017 gt350R on order at a $15k adm. I felt lucky enough to find that, given in my area everyone wants $20-30k. I suppose I could have called every dealer in the country, but, I HATE car salesmen (in general, not to offend any individual), and the dealer is not too far from where I live...

What did you end up doing, if I may ask, and how did it turn out?

Would it be bad to cover the matte black stripes on the R? Aside from protection from rock chips, does a PPF make it easier to maintain the appearance of the car?

I vote you wait for the gt350. It just seems more special than the corvette, and it sounds so good! I have an order for a 2017 R, and I'm already approaching 5 months since ordering, but to me it will be worth it.

Only 'R' models. I have heard it has to do with the sport cup 2 tires on the 'R'. The surface rubber cracks in the cold or something like that (cosmetic problem I believe?).
