That's kind of where I'm at with mine. I have the VMP 767 HP package for the Roush. They dyno over 650 whp (haven't had mine done yet). I know I could e85 tune it, add a smaller pulley, etc, but I'm not interested in rebuilding a motor. I figure where I'm at is kind of the safe limits for...
For those of you that had the hood painted at a body shop…. Did they blend the paint onto other panels? Im having a new hood and trunk put on by a local shop. They want to blend the panels to make sure the paint matches. That made me a little nervous.
Nice time!
What OPGs did you you go with? I'm afraid to replace the stock ones as I hear so many issues with them not holding up like in your case with not that many miles on them. I'm around 650 whp. It is really needed?
long legged? Compared to what? The MT82 has short gears compared to a t56 or a t45 or any other mustang I've ever had. You have to hit 5th gear to get a 1:1 ratio. In the past it was typically 4th gear.
At 6500 rpm the speed in 2nd gear on my MT-82 2016 GT with 3.55 gears is 59 mph.
At 6500...
I have a Roush, but I also typically see 30 over ambient when cruising. It's obviously higher in traffic. However, I've never seen it hit 150 even in traffic on a 90 degree day except one time and that was when my heat exchanger pump wasn't running.
My Cobra can occasionally want to stall at a stop. The RPM bounces around a little until it settles. If I keep it in gear until almost stopped it wont do it. I think it is due to MAF turbulence with the after market K&N FIPK. This turbulence is mostly an issue with the throttle is almost...
The Roush guys with the heat issues are 2018+ with the inverted design. They get heat soaked quickly, I believe the issue is due to the intercooler. The 2015-2017 Roush blowers don't have this issue. I did put a triple pass heat exchanger on mine, but I had no heat issues before that. I just...
I agree completely!
I put a catch can on my 2016 supercharged GT. I noticed some oil running out of the throttle body when I upgraded to a new throttle body. Car only has 5,000 miles on it.
I don't have one on my Cobra, but never noticed any oil in the throttle body. I'm taking the blower...
VMP sent me a new revision which greatly reduced my surging while cruising. The other thing that seemed to help was changing my grille. I went from the California special to the Cervinis C-series. Now I hardly notice any surging.
For the Gen 2 Roush told me I should be using the oem 5w20 rating. I think he did say they changed it for the Gen 3. However, I read a lot on here where people recommend 5w50 for blown applications. I went with 5w30 since I wasn't sure which advice was right. 😄
weather here can range from 0...
You should make these and sell them. I need one! Pulled my car off off of some 2x4s I had to be able to get the jack under the car today. One pooped up under the bumper and snapped the passenger tab off. You just epoxied the aluminum to the plastic?
Downpipe, tune and FMIC gets the N54 twin turbo I6 to 400whp+. The M2 has the N55 single turbo. Makes less power with modifications. The M2 competition has the same S55 twin turbo engine as any M3. Downpipes and tune gets them 500whp+
Guy in the office next to me has a VR4. He put DR500...
I didn't notice you were in Germany until you mentioned it. I can see how it might be difficult to find a local tuner for a Roush there. lol. I have a couple tuners here that I used for other cars. I just figured I would go with VMP since they seem to have a lot of experience with these cars.
VMP sent me a revision on mine at the end of last week. It made a huge improvement on the surging while cruising and it also greatly reduced bucking while driving through my neighborhood when the car was cold in the mornings. It didn't 100% eliminate it, but on a scale of 1-10 it took it from...
