Full 4 corner brake rebuild, rotors and Carbotech race pads.
Also installed APR GT250 71” wing.. LOL
More winter projects to come before next years track season.
The pro version has the anti-submarine function built in, with a stretch point on the inside over shoulder strap from what I remember. This special function makes it suitable and approved for most clubs.
Once you install the 2 latch brackets, it is a simple clip in/out procedure to install...
I’ll be selling a Steeda Functional race wing in the coming weeks.. BLACK painted.
It’s been on the car ever since I’ve been going on track. It is paired with a APR front PP splitter, which has given the car a nice balance over the last few seasons.
Now it’s time to go up a notch, having...
All valid points Ewheels... and thank you for the reply.
I can look at live data from TT groups during an event, to gauge my standing. As a progression to become a better driver, not changing the car and setting PB's is of course a real measure, however, with the changing of track and weather...
Thanks guys for your positive and constructive feedback..
I’m very competitive against myself more so than other drivers, I don’t really care for a $10 trophy from TT, so staying in DE or Time Attack might be my option
There are plenty of drivers who stay in DE, tuning their cars and themselves...
For those that take on Time Trialing.. Which groups are you running.?
What mods have you made to extend or retain group status.?
Is there a sweet spot for the S550 to run competitively against other makes, whilst not having a dedicated lightened, forced induction race car.?
I know tires are...
Should only be Push pins and U Clips.. if the bumper has broken in a few areas, then some fabrication might be needed.
My Wheel liner used to flap and hit the tire all the time, eventually wearing a hole..
You’ll need to remove the bumper, which is a pain if you haven’t done it before and...
It’s a Vicrez aftermarket bumper without the hole.. (it’s fake) I’ve put the double welded replacement brace back on with central hook through the bottom grill.
The replacement crash bar didn’t have a welded nut either.
My Black Mustang with the RED tongue is quite well known around my...
One time crash recovery on a ZL1 Front tow hook.. more cosmetic than function..
they had only welded one side and the melt had not even reached the core of the brace.
A free replacement with welds both sides was provided by ZL1. I have been using that now to winch into an enclosed trailer...
Make it a project..! APR PP splitter mounted to after market GT500 front end, cut outs for brake scoops. Made brackets to securely mount to frame and secured to bumper. Rods secured to crash bar with further brackets.
Solid mounting and functional.
All round Ridetech HQ coilovers, Steeda race front and rear bars, fully braced.
Vorshlag plates and SPC rear arms, a lot of possible adjustment.
As I’m DE, I can run R comp tires (currently toyo RR’s)
I am enjoying the ride to learn and improve myself and the car in parallel.
I have the APR front splitter, which is partly cosmetic I know, nothing like your setup..
Ive got the Gt500 front end which in itself has reduced temps by 10 Deg. Although probably causing more drag with all the airflow.
I’m chasing my own times in advanced DE, rather than TT.. so not too...
Always projects for winter..
Flyhalf.. you should have bought an FP350 LOL..
Full brake rebuild, install FTBR diff cooler, swap Steeda functional spoiler to APR GT250 wing.
@Flyhalf - I see you have the GT250, any recommendations for initial settings.?
Story was going off at VIR, head on into Tire wall at around 80.
Avoiding another car, slick tires and wet mud = no stopping.
Even though none of the seat harnesses are connected, only the passenger side senses someone there, this can be bypassed with a Bladder connected.
So the default is...
Not quite today, but…. All day Drinking yesterday, IPad and Black Friday sales…
And I didn’t think I needed anything..! $$$
Time to wait for the FedEx man.
I’ve had the larger ones on mine for the last couple of years, as I have the Steeda Functional wing. However, they have never really worked. I tried lubricants on hinges, pins etc.. Steeda did replace my first set, but could never get them to work correctly. 🤨
