I wonder how good the FR3A suspension system would be. I have the S197 version on my '08 Bullitt and have been very happy with it. They show that it has been standard equipment on the Shelby Super Snake and Hertz cars. It seems to get pretty good reviews.
I'm tempted with the Shelby/Penske...
I haven't actually changed the camber trackside yet. All you need to do is get the weight off of the front end, loosen the 3 top nuts and put the camber where you want it. That's how I got it set before getting the final adjustments done at an alignment shop. It was really pretty easy. I'm...
I looked back at my first outing in Nebraska with my 660s back in July. I was about 1.6 seconds behind the BS winner (Gearz on here, in his GT350) and about 1.2 seconds behind the ZL1 that won CAM-C. I did manage to beat the FS winner (an '07 Shelby GT) by about .9 seconds.
I've got RT660 305s and Vorshlag plates on my '18 Roush. The coilovers are different than what you have, so I don't have info on how a 315 would work. It's a tight fit, but the ET52 w/ 25mm spacer setup actually has more inside tire clearance than the 20x9.5 Roush rims (w/ 275/35-19s) the car...
As others have said, not uncommon. I just got mine back with a new cat under warranty at 18000 miles. Mine is an 18 that was phase 1, but I had them upgrade it to a phase 2 while it was in the shop.
As another follow up, I figured out the pinging noise. My ears fooled me and it was a modification I had made to the exhaust. I've got the Roush active ready exhaust and in order to quiet it down a bit I put restrictors in the active outlet. I had issues previously with restrictor setup...
The M-12405-M50A spark plugs showed up today and they are marked the same as what I took out. That makes me feel better that they put the right plugs in. They were, however, WAY overtightened. The instructions call for somewhere around 133 in*lb and these were significantly tighter than that...
Does anyone know which spark plugs were supposed to come with the supercharger kit? Mine was originally a phase 1 and the plugs have the part number CYFS092YPT3 on them. I cross referenced these to the Ford Performance part number M-12405-35T . From what I've seen, I should be running...
I've been using 5W50 Motorcraft full synthetic per the Roush manual. I've found the cheapest way to get oil is to buy it from O'Reilly online and use one of their 15% discount coupons you get when you sign up for their rewards program. It has to be a ship to home order, but usually only takes...
I'll have to try the scanner and see if it says anything. My ears have nearly 50 years of listening to engines under load, and I don't know what other phenomenon this would be. It's only under heavy load and very typical of what I'm used to hearing for detonation. The 700hp tune never did...
I'm glad to hear that, but at the same time wondering why mine is appearing to be that sensitive. Having only 91 octane available at the pump locally might be a bit of a PITA. I think the nearest usable 93 octane pump is about 2 hours away. I'll see what it does once I get known 93+ in it. I...
I have a question for the phase 2 people. How long does it take for the tune to back off the timing? I was running 91 octane mixed with 100 octane (which should have netted about 93), but it still wanted to ping. It seems like it may have calmed down a bit, but it still wants to ping if you...
I just got back from the dealership and the catalytic converter issue is now resolved. They replaced the driver's side cat under warranty. They said Ford covered it. While they were working on it I had them install the phase 2 tune. My initial impression is that I'll want to make sure I've...
There have been several tracks relatively close to me shut down in the last number of years. The close 1/8 mile track was because of lack of participation and a 1/4 mile strip shut down because of people complaining about noise. There's another one that may not be back next year because the...
I've been doing some autocross, both with an '08 Bullitt and a supercharged '18 Roush. The '18 is slightly different than your '15, but it should be pretty similar. Autocross (200TW) tires definitely make it easier to put the power to the ground. I've run with all traction control nannies...
Does anyone know the difference between catalytic converter part numbers jr3z-5g232-a and jr3z-5g232-b? They are both listed as being for a 2018 Mustang GT built before 12/4/17 (my production date shows 11/17), but one is "federal emissions" and the other is "state emissions". The one real...
I just took my Roush to Long Mac today to get the check engine light looked at. I believe one of the guys I talked to told me about you and your car. He said he was going to buy it if you hadn't bought it back.
The check engine light was determined to be the cats. They were trying to hash...
I've had a couple of track days with my Roush coilovers, along with a number of autocrosses. I've got the base (single adjustable) setup, so no adjustments on valving. My understanding is that they're a Roush tuned version of the KW V1 setup and the 3 way adjustables are a Roush tuned version...
I should hopefully be able to answer these questions next week. I've got the thicker LTR, so just switching out the tune would get it up to the latest specs. It wouldn't hurt my feelings if the 750hp tune was the only one available.
