Steve are you putting this up on Facebook? Know a couple of people on there don't look here and would probably come along. You said you were going to but not seen one up yet.
Ian do you have to use a Ford dealer? If not speak to Mike at Modurstang and see if Nick will do insurance work. I bet Mike can get panels from the states quicker and cheaper than Ford tbh.
If you want I can ask later for you as I'll be collecting my car from Nick today hopefully if it's all done.
Ian whu. It may be worth a call to him and your insurer to see if you can use him rather than Ford for any repairs. I'd trust him more than a Ford bodyshop. It just depends if they will authorise the repair etc.
Decent bodyshop will be able to repaint that.
Give Mike from Modurstang a ring and he can put you in touch with Nick who does work for him. Nick is based just off the M1 near Northampton so should be fairly local for you and it isn't the long drive down to Modurstang.
Mine is in with Nick...
Well I didn't get the invite. That's despite emailing both Karen and Stacey during my ordering process.
Most annoying as I'm likely to be in Essex that day for a Christening and could have made a day of it. Guess you have to be on a special list to get to go.
Had my driver door done. They had to adjust the wing. Whilst better at the front it now sits proud at the rear of the door by a few mm. Decided against letting them have another go as I barely notice it.
Which bulbs did you get? My Diode Dynamics ones just fitting in and took 2 mins. For vanity mirror, take out the plastic lenses, undo the 2 screws and remove the mirror unit. Much easier than trying to squeeze them in.
That will be a pre-registered car that their either had from cancelled order or some other reason. It is not "new" in that being technically 2nd hand they can mark the price up. If you want it then buy it but you are paying a premium over new to avoid the wait.
Andy Barratt on here said there...
Noticed mine had failed last night. Will be calling dealer tomorrow. They may have a new part on the way but I still want it fixing asap. They can do it again after the new part it out.
Its the poor moulding on the bumper plastic. I have the same on my TY and took it to Ford in Peterborough. They compared it to a couple of others and their demo and showroom cars. All of them had it to a degree and its due to the sharp edge on the moulding. They wouldn't do anything about it...
I'll be giving this a skip. Decided to head to the RWYB day at Santa Pod instead and meet a few people there.
I'll be in Essex this weekend to see family and didn't really fancy the trip 3 weeks in a row...
I believe this may tie in with a 2017 road trip. One suggestion was head to Luxembourg to meet the EU Mustang6g contingent and then trip down to Le Mans as a group. Lots of driving, lots of Mustangs and lots of fun. Easily organised as group bookings for most of the trip. Eurostar can assist...
As this is even closer to home than the Steeda day was I may pop down. I'm supposed to be at Santa Pod for a RWYB day with another forum but may do this instead.
Will have a think.
Brian posted the below on Facebook and as I know he doesn't use forums I thought I would post it here.
6/7 from the convoy on show. Poor Stark in the lead and got missed out...
