  1. How popular are Mustangs in the US?

Short answer, yes. When regulations were created there weren’t many 8500+lb GVWR vehicles so they never bothered to write up regulations for them. And over the years they never really addressed the issue. https://www.motorbiscuit.com/why-dont-heavy-duty-trucks-have-to-report-to-the-epa/...
  2. Paintless Dent Removal

I’ve seen pdr folk use special rods they fit behind panels to bend stuff like that out. It looks like a hard spot to get so it might be worth having someone look at it in person as from your pic I can’t quite tell if it’s on the fender line or not. Boiling water generally is more for plastics...
  3. Mustang Photograph of the Month Contest – May 2025

https://vsp.virginia.gov/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Motor-Vehicle-Safety-Inspection-Manual-2021.pdf 19VAC30-70-140. Headlamps; Except Motorcycles. My driving lamps were tapped into the side marker circuit. It was easier to just delete them over wiring them in properly. They also were unable...
  4. New Brakes, question.

Grab one of these from Harbor Freight and save yourself the frustration. https://www.harborfreight.com/disc-brake-pad-and-caliper-service-tool-kit-11-piece-63264.html
  5. What did you do to your S550 Mustang today?!

When I did wheel bearings on my mk7.5 GTI there was no play, but the roaring was very audible. There’s likely a marred surface on the bearings eating the race. When I got the assembly out, you couldn’t even turn it by hand it was locked up so tight. I used something similar to this to diag...
  6. What did you do to your S550 Mustang today?!

Well it looks like you’ve never boiled brake fluid before.
  7. What did you do to your S550 Mustang today?!

I do mine every 2 years on other cars, but I was lazy with this one due to the low mileage. I start with the closest caliper first to get the master cylinder full of fresh fluid, then I go to the farthest. Generally I go through 2 bottles.
  8. What did you do to your S550 Mustang today?!

Brake fluid flush and clutch bleed at ~46k. Fluid was pretty bad. Fun fact, the thread pitch on the master cylinder on my 2016 is the same as my 2018 GTI was so I could use my VW power bleeder.
  9. FP handling pack or Steeda pro-active w/ minimum drop?

The spring rates for PP springs are a little stiffer than Base GT. https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/spring-rates-drops-all-in-one-thread.44925/
  10. Gunshot loud pop from exhaust when upshifting.

Can confirm I get pops upshifting from 1 -> 2 with a Borla S-Type when the car is colder and I’m giving it the beans.
  11. Ford Performance Track Handling Pack - What do I need?

Looks like I got the regular and perf pack mixed a little. In the spec sheet Ford does give a +\- .75 on camber so it doesn’t need to be super spot on but definitely needs more camber in rear not front. My bad.
  12. Ford Performance Track Handling Pack - What do I need?

Camber spec on these cars is up to -1.7 on the front, and something like -1.5 on the rear. A good shop can get those in on mild drop springs that are less than an inch like the Steeda and BMR minimum drop. I don’t know about the Ford lowering springs, but it’ll be close.
  13. Dumb question

I know in my state you’d be out at least the sales tax of the transaction. I don’t think trade in would drop it at all. I’m pretty sure you could find someone to CNC you something similar for much less than $5k.
  14. Koni Active Struts and Shocks vs. Steeda Pro Active Shocks and Struts

Generally end links can pop and bind if you’re lowered enough. They do make a huge difference when you drop 1.5” or so but I’d expect the 0.5” drop from the min drop steedas to be totally fine. I’ve used white line in the past and have been very happy. They are supposed to be adjusted with the...
  15. Memorial Day Sales at Lethal Performance!

At this point I’m heavily leaning into the FP street pack as it’s a single kit.
  16. Memorial Day Sales at Lethal Performance!

Honestly, I felt like the base GT height was low enough. My main direction was the GT350 base springs and Ford Track shocks/struts. I’m hesitant from lowering my GTI where the documentation said it would only lower it 1”, but after the springs settled it was a whopping 2.5” drop that I got...
  17. Memorial Day Sales at Lethal Performance!

Trying my best to not drop the car, which is difficult. Pretty much leaves me with the FRPP Track shock/strut combo and base GT350 springs.
  18. Memorial Day Sales at Lethal Performance!

Fingers crossed you guys have some suspension stuff coming soon. One of my factory shocks is weeping so I’ve got a legitimate excuse now.
  19. Mustang Photograph of the Month Contest – May 2025

I took this one a few years ago in between front grilles. I had to swap this one in that was missing the pony so I could pass inspection as the grille on it previously had lights that were illegal in Virginia.
  20. GM: nevermind, use 0w40 instead of 0w20

A sticker will not last the life of the car. Especially down south. This will just be a problem down the road again. It’s not a fix.
