  1. Throttle body spacers: Actual gains or a vanity item?

I've always felt the spacers were unlikely to give any measurable gains. If there are gains, I expect they would be pretty small. But, I have yet to see anyone actually dyno with and without to see if it made any difference at all. There are a LOT of opinions but as far as I know there's no...
  2. Borla Touring Catback

The FRPP touring doesn't have the mid-muffler so it would be louder and have a different tone than the Borla original. It would be subject to more drone as well. I have had Borla's touring cat-backs on most of the cars I've owned. I always go with Borla because I love the sound of them and...
  3. Foam Cannon Soaps and Soft Convertible Tops

I went with the pressure washer, an electric one from Home Depot, because I like the ability to wash and rinse it with more power. A foam gun would do fine to put down foam. For me, the best process is below. I want to make sure there is as little chase as possible for any swirls or other...
  4. Catch Can Options

I wondered the same thing. I like the idea of a black catch can, and that's what I'm almost certainly going to order. Two key reasons. One, I'm not a huge fan of showy kind of stuff under the hood. To much shinny stuff isn't for me. IMO Two, I can't see anyway that it wouldn't get a little dirty...
  5. Strut Tower Brace missing from your engine bay?

Does anyone know if the GT Convertibles, without the 20" wheels and without PP, come with the back brace that ties the strut towers to the cowl? I know they come with the easy to see strut tower brace but I can't seem to find out for sure about the back one. Thoughts?
  6. Convertibles Photos Thread

My vert hasn't been delivered yet so I'm wondering if someone can provide me a little info. (I'm getting ready to order all my parts so they are where when my car shows up.) For those with a GT (can't have the 20" tires or Performance Pack), I understand they come with the strut tower brace...
  7. Catch Can Options

Sorry for the flood of posts and questions....I just found this page today and I thought it was very useful. A couple of good vids. http://jlttruecoldair.com/ZenCart/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=378
  8. Catch Can Options

I like the idea of it being away from the engine. It looks nicely tucked away. How does one go about emptying that one though? I'm not sure there would be room for my big meat hooks in there.
  9. Catch Can Options

I see now on their site where Bob's is emptied via a valve on the bottom. That seems like a pain in the ass to me as opposed the other designs where you just twist off the bottom of the canister. How do you empty yours?
  10. Catch Can Options

That does look nice. From the pictures, it looks like the input is lower on the can with the output up top. I can see where that would be an excellent design since it seems like better utilize gravity to get the oil out of the air. However, I keep seeing people comment that their cans get 1/3...
  11. Foam Cannon Soaps and Soft Convertible Tops

Thanks for sharing your experience. I haven't tried those yet but I'm seriously considering those as well.
  12. Catch Can Options

    Excellent question! Anyone?
  13. Catch Can Options

I've got one of those for my Jeep Commander. I like the ideal of an easy twist and remove catch basin and space is limited I dr the hood so I'd lov to see how to mount it in an easy to access space.
  14. Do I need to wait to seal?

I done a lot of research lately while I wait for my car, as well as buying a LOT of Chemical Guys stuff. I've yet to see a comments on a treatment that can't be waxed within a day or two. If they tell you six months, that to me is a sign of how long they expect it to last. If you have no swirls...
  15. Catch Can Options

I'm planning to add a catch can to my 5.0 and I'm wondering what options are out there and the benifits of the different options. I see JLT seems to be popular but what else is available, and more importantly what options are better?
  16. Car Ordered, Can't Track It

Yeah, COTUS isn't a formal tool available to us yet so you have to deal with some pilot applications issues. It is better than nothing though. If you are already in production your wait is short!
  17. COTUS Problem

Yep. But mine was even further off. It was a 2014 F150. It took about a week for that wrong order to disappear and then another week or so before mine showed up. I think it is just a timing thing and reusing order numbers.
  18. Do I need to wait to seal?

So if I read this right, you are saying that they applied a Zurich Shield sealant without washing the car first?!
  19. How many people are still waiting for Shipment on 15's

    Congrats!! Looks awesome!
  20. Car Ordered, Can't Track It

You might try all three COTUS sites. I find that mine comes and goes but I can usually get it to show up on one of them. www.cotus.ford.com www.cotusa.ford.com www.cotusb.ford.com
