  1. 2 post lifts

Adding if you go with asymmetrical arms it will generally place the posts even with your side mirrors
  2. 2 post lifts

Symmetrical or asymmetrical lift? The arm style you go with will be the thing that places the vehicle center point in the posts. Some lifts will allow for both Regardless you will be able to move the car forward or aft to some degree - especially with jacking rails Stay away from the joints...
  3. Best detailing rolling chair

KB: watch for deals. IMO it’s worth it at 450 or less. 600 is excessive. Mine was right at 400 to my door with a couple upgrades added DFB: I know it makes no sense financially, but you do need one some day lol
  4. Best detailing rolling chair

This is one of my favorite things in my garage -The Vyper chairs are very expensive, but unquestionably the best shop chair you can buy. I've had a few of the cheap pneumatic chairs - the wheels break, you catch an edge or a rock and flip over, everything vibrates out of the tray when you roll...
  5. DFB'S LITTLE BLACK BOOK OF DETAILING - UPDATED APRIL 2026

The want for the Rupes Nano is strong. Why do those little things have to cost so much?
  6. What's In DFB's Cabinet?

The 1 liter is approaching $30 now(before shipping). I never thought I'd spend $90 on 5 liters of car wash soap, but at least I can convince myself it's somehow more economical.
  7. What's In DFB's Cabinet?

Really like to read about all the versatility. It definitely seems like CarPro products hold an edge on others. For tire dressing, how does it compare to NV Onyx? I picked it up on your recommendation and have really enjoyed it so far. For others in thread - quick PSA. Koch GSF is looking...
  8. CHEMICAL GUY's PRO BLOW, Blower? Worth it or not......

Just picked up a stubby for mine. It's a game changer for sure - especially on my truck. Plus its still a solid leaf blower I can go clean off the patio/driveway with. Everyone who tries it laughs hysterically when they try the scramble button. Works great for stoking fire pits into 12 foot...
  9. Garage/Workshop Wish List Advice

I put a 22x52 attic ladder in. The opening is pretty small, but you can size your bins/totes to walk it up the steps. I've got a 1/4 of a fox body up there currently lol. Installing it was a shit show however. Ladders, ratchet straps, shims the whole bit
  10. Garage/Workshop Wish List Advice

I did 10 ft walls and vaulted the rear of the garage ceiling to clear a 2 post lift. These typically need 12ft of clearance. The front half was 10 ft tall which still gave me room for attic storage
  11. Garage/Workshop Wish List Advice

My "water hack" was to run a hose from the house to the garage. I have a spigot on the outside that takes water "in" to a sink, power washer and an additional spigot. It's not code but it gets the job done outside of the winter months.
  12. Garage/Workshop Wish List Advice

30X40(W) detached here. Go as big as you can Install more outlets than you think you could ever use if you are going drywall(speaker wired too) Get your water ran, floor drains are nice but a sloped floor will work if permitting gets tricky Determine what kind of garage door openers you will...
  13. What's In DFB's Cabinet?

Just copped one of these foam cannon holders, didn't even know they existed.... Love this thread
  14. What's In DFB's Cabinet?

Thanks for this thread DFB! Curious if you think the OG drying aid lives up to the hype(and shipping cost)
  15. Glass Cleaner/Polish Recommendations?

You should make that thread at some point. BTW I ordered a bottle of Onyx to try out
  16. Glass Cleaner/Polish Recommendations?

Love this. I've got a similar cabinet and 99% of people just don't understand why anyone would have something like it. Unfair question and potential hi-jack: Out of all the products in here, what is your favorite one and why? I recently got on the GSF train and now I use it on everything -...
  17. Shelbyfest '22 Jeff City, MO

Did anyone attend? The weather was pretty questionable Friday night but turned nice on Sat for the show.
  18. Wall mounted pressure washers

@PC_GUARD perfect comparison vid. Thank you so much. You can tell he's trying to talk OVER the Karcher, but the Kranzle barely picks up on the mic.
  19. Wall mounted pressure washers

Thanks for the replies. Sound is important as I typically clean the cars inside the garage. It's pretty nice to be able to wash cars at night with all the doors closed. However, the Karcher just grinds away and the high pitched sound has me questioning if this a day time only tool. I know, it's...
  20. Wall mounted pressure washers

Tons of great detail/product knowledge in here I was hoping to tap into. I'm looking to V2 my pressure washer setup. I started with a Karcher Cube with allllllll of the OG goodies(OG Wand, Foam Cannon, Cox reel, Kobra hose, etc). I love everything about the setup but the Karcher was always...
