  1. Supercharger on the 5.2

Simple logic, I don't plan to track my car. I like the Sync 3, like the cooled/heated seats, don't like the feel of the Recaros, and like the toggle switches. Seems like the tech was the pretty obvious choice for me, and yes, I researched. BTW, please provide me any link, to any article or...
  2. Supercharger on the 5.2

You don't have issues, so that means everything's all good with the GT350 platform? No need to beat a dead horse with the limp mode issues, but this forum is a pretty good start to catch up on current events. There's been blown motors, transmission issues, and even one car going limp with...
  3. Supercharger on the 5.2

The car isn't enough for some of us. As for it being a glorious car, that can be viewed as an exaggeration. I see the GT350 as a potential platform to build upon (clearly, an opinion). As it sits right now, it doesn't provide me the experience I've been looking for. This platform has obvious...
  4. Supercharger on the 5.2

I'm coming from a big single Supra, so I'm very interested to see more data on any type of force induction. I miss the big power. I'm sure there will be viable options in the future. Lethal was the start, hopefully they will put out more information on a potential kit.
  5. For those that removed the clutch helper spring . . .

I like the engagement much better now, don't feel any slop without the spring. You can always put it back on if you don't like it, or buy the Steeda spring.
  6. New OASIS message for Engine Rattle

    Good to know. Thanks.
  7. Another possible blown engine

Nothing for a BMW. All service related maintenance, like oil changes, brakes, wipers, fluids are covered under the initial warranty. BMW will provide an equivalent loaner at request. I don't consider the GT350 a "premium" car, more of a specialty vehicle. I wouldn't expect a loaner for...
  8. 2016 GT350 Comp Orange Tech Pack

Gorgeous. That was my first choice in color. Dealer goofed and wasn't able to change it in time. Got stuck with AG, but I still consider it a win.
  9. 2016 Shadow Black Tech available at MSRP - May delivery!

That may be true, but no one knows what the cost difference of the 2017s will be.
  10. “Everything has been said…”

Great post. I was one of the first to receive a GT350 through MAS at Ramstein, but we decided not to extend our stay and moved back last July. So my car never got to see Germany. We plan on moving back there once our older kid finishes school, but I don't know if the car will make it back...
  11. Size of GT350, does it matter?

The GT350 is a fairly large car and a bit on the heavy side. Anyone that says otherwise is in denial. The car is a good bit wider and longer than our BMW 335i, but I'm comparing apples to oranges here. With that said, the car feels balanced and maneuvers well. So, all in all, it's not a big...
  12. A message to those that are cross shopping.

The GT350 is a great car indeed, but I still have thoughts for the Challenger Hellcat. It doesn't help that my neighbor owns one. I also think the M4 felt like a better driver's car and the interior build quality is a notch above, but I think the M3/M4 is about 10k overpriced. After 4 months...
  13. GT350 pushed into concrete wall

True statement. This forum provides plenty of reading and drama to entertain my day.
  14. GT350 pushed into concrete wall

It's been mentioned, pass on right is illegal...period. GT350 will be at fault.
  15. Military AutoSource Lottery Winners

I feel you. Even though I'm not a track person, I'd question sustained high speeds on the autobahn. I'm kind of bothered that I didn't keep perusing the Hellcat or the M4. With that said, I still think the GT350 is a wonderful car, there's just a big "?" hanging over it.
  16. Video: Shelby GT350 Ordering Info - Ford addressing GT350 use & heat issues

We are a quick one, no? Sooner or later, I'm sure a base model owner might have the same complaints. I think the issue is that Ford has produced a so called "world class track oriented car," that's not as capable as advertised. On Ford's site it states "Quite simply, the GT350 was engineered...
  17. Limp Mode on the Track

Honus, very well put together post and I think it speaks for most Tech owners. I never had a doubt with what I wanted, and I'm very pleased with the seats and sync system (not the sound). I'm not a track guy, but I would expect any sport oriented car to run one solid session on any track...
  18. Anyone scraped the front splitter yet?

I'd thinking about putting sensor on camera of some sorts up front. The GT350 is fairly large. I can see the front hitting a parking block or curb in due time.
  19. GT350 vs Hellcat: different class or competitors?

I did look at the Roush and M4, but decided to get the GT350. I am concerned about the warranty part of things, so slapping a SC on a new car would wasn't an option. I didn't have ADM problems, so a big selling point was the price of the GT350. If I own the GT350 for another two years, I will...
  20. GT350 vs Hellcat: different class or competitors?

I have a GT350 because the Hellcat deal fell through. Can't say I like the GT350 better because I never drove a Hellcat. I will say the GT350 is a great driving car but my last car was a 600+whp Supra. I still miss that rush from power and that still makes me curious. My local dealer just...
