  1. Aluminum hood?

the fenders and deck lid have been aluminum since 2005 too?
  2. Rumor: Steeda Blog - 2015 Mustang Weight Gain (Updated with Steeda's Response)

Yeah, with a complete platform re-design and some of the weight-reducing things (smaller glass, aluminum parts) Ford has done, I have quite a hard time believing this car gains much weight, if any. With fuel efficiency standards these days, the last thing Ford wants to do is not pay attention...
  3. S550 v S197

Agreed. The Fusion is a nice looking car imo. I was very happy when I saw Ford release it and start moving on from the square/gaudy-grill cars (like the current Explorer)
  4. 50th Anniversary Owners Poll!

No worries man. You voted wimbledon white/manual, which is what I'm in the process of ordering. I'll count yours as mine I guess.
  5. LE Window Sticker

    Whoa! Cool.
  6. S550 v S197

    Nice work!
  7. Update on Build and Price

Thanks cbrookre. I'm jealous. Sounds like fun.
  8. 50th Anniversary Owners Poll!

Good question. I've been wondering too. Since Ford confirmed that the limited edition has its own VIN format, I would think the serial number could be the same as the production number.
  9. Update on Build and Price

Yeah, the url is useless to us because the url is down now and he's viewing it from his browser cache (i.e. it's an offline copy of the website). The URL, if it were to begin working again, is probably this: http://bp3.ford.com/2015-Ford-Mustang#/Style/
  10. Update on Build and Price

Just curious, does it show the limited edition available as an option for build & price?
  11. Rumor: Steeda Blog - 2015 Mustang Weight Gain (Updated with Steeda's Response)

Where? Huh? If you're talking about this article, they're still referencing R&T.
  12. Road & Track chimes in on Weight Gain!

What I'm saying goes back to your original post: Those of us that want limited editions (to guarantee having one, to not have some insane markup, and to have the options we want) don't have much other choice than to pre-order now. Those of you that want the other models can wait til whenever...
  13. Road & Track chimes in on Weight Gain!

Except for those of us buying the limited editions. Ford is pretty much forcing us to buy these now before they run out.
  14. The Engine Break-In Debate

I'm more dreading that if I order a limited edition, the out-of-state dealership I'm ordering it from will take it for a joy ride (before the break in period) because it will probably be the first 2015 they see. There isn't really any way for me to know what they do with it.
  15. First order placed! 2015 Anniversary!

I had a dealer in the Seattle area that was asking for $20k over. The salesman said he managed to get (sucker) one guy to pay $20k over for his first allocation and SAID he had others lined up for any additional allocations he may purchase. Needless to say, we walked away from this dealer.
  16. Rumor: Steeda Blog - 2015 Mustang Weight Gain (Updated with Steeda's Response)

That's why I put the racer qualifiers in there.
  17. Rumor: Steeda Blog - 2015 Mustang Weight Gain (Updated with Steeda's Response)

Are all of you going to be racing your cars? Seems like a high percentage of people in this thread really care about this. Sure it's a disappointment (if true) and a lighter car would be faster, but how many of us will really notice or be affected by this? For those who don't race, when you put...
  18. 2015 LE Price

I think initially there's been a fair amount at MSRP, but that will probably change as allocations fill. I think it also depends on the affluency of where you live and whether or not there are a bunch of rich people willing to pay whatever to get one. In the Seattle area, all the dealers were...
