Because the 10 speed keeping the car in peak power band for the entire time coupled with the gen 3s flat power band at the top of the rpm curve could not have any effect on trap speed. Lol
Just curious ....
My 17GT is my daily driver and I put about 30K miles a year on it....
My car is a 6a with 3.15s
Trying to decided if I just want to throw on a PP and call it a day - or throw a supercharger on it....Im in CA so have to keep it smog legal
So other question- with the...
Nope..car could only be in drag or sport mode.
Drag mode was beneficial from stop or roll.
Only way I could explain is that it felt like car being power shifted..kept the rpms up during shifts...
I should add with the supercharged pp car on slicks it would be faster then the 18 but street tire to street tire where traction is an issue.. that's where I think it will be closer
It's the 10 speed auto. In drag mode ...i think the difference in acceleration numbers is 90% that transmission vs. The extra power.
I dont care if it gets confused in some partial throttle situations. Drag mode with the 10a was very very good.
I have driven a roush supercharged 17 pp...
Performance pack
Digital dash
Magne ride
Variable exhaust
10 speed
Every option.
What an f'n car.
Way faster then my stock gt 6a. Not even close.
Handling was incredible
10a in drag mode.. damn damn damn
I drove the car 10 miles and I know people..they told me they had all ready...

Cliff notes
They liked the car
Didnt like the 10 speed automatic in normal driving
After seeing the car in person Im not so sure the average person will tell the difference. I found myself having to double check the headlights and lower valance to determine if the car was a 17 or an 18 when outside the Ford booth.
There are minor differences but not so sure the difference...
According to specs my 67 GT500 is subpar and slower then a 2018 gt. Mpgs. Horsepower. Technology. Handling. Everything. Its not even close.
Guess which one I think is more fun to drive?
