I'll be out testing the 1st to 2nd short shift Saturday throughout the day at the quarter mile track before the 11.50 index on Sunday. Hopefully that cuts the times down a bit along with removing the passenger seat. Couldn't get to grabbing my logs yesterday but grabbed them today before work...
Major thanks man! I'm also going to be removing my passenger seat for this event. It's an 11.50 index and I still feel like I'm not close enough to running 11.50s yet. Ill be testing quarter mile for the first time Saturday and the event will be Sunday. Also what PSI so you keep your front...
This may be true, but I manage 7s at showtime and my car probably weighs about 4k and makes 426 rwhp on the dyno. DA is usually in the 2000s. This should be around 11s, at least i hope haha.
I datalogged some of the runs. When I'm home I'll look into checking for tire spin on them. I get them in CSV format though. What software do you use to get that display of the data logs in graphical format?
Tire pressure is 10 psi cold. About 12 psi hot. I played around on launch between 5500-6500. I think this run was a 6500 RPM launch, but not 100% sure. I'll be tossing up a video link of the run soon.
I was at the local 8th mile track last night to practice for a quarter mile index event. I am really trying to get my 8th mile time to 7.3-7.4 area. My best pass was a 7.51 at 92.14 with a 1.60 60'. I did not take my passenger seat out and am wondering if that may help me get to the goal I am...
I can also vouch for Collin in doing great work. He installed my OPGs and Timing gear along with McLeod RXT and flywheel all for a great price. Only shop I trust my car with.
Ignore this, I found an old post.
According to Whipple. the duty cycle for 72lb injectors below.
72lb is 95% with 3.25", 40deg ambient, stock motor, no BAP, 11.8:1 AF.
I am looking at ordering a Whipple Stage 2 kit and was wondering if anyone had issues with fueling due to the kit no coming with a Boost-A-Pump. Has anyone seen fueling issues with this kit without a Boost-A-Pump with the Whipple calibration. After ordering I plan on grabbing a fuel system...
Hey Travis, two questions. Do we get some sort of credit for giving your our stock manifolds?
Also, How reliable are the scavenging pumps on this setup? I would hate to have one possibility go out on me. Would there be a point in time where I would have to replace the pump?
Yeah I did a 5000 RPM clutch dump, the 8th mile track here isn't known for hooking very well. Hoping to try the quarter mile at Bradenton soon. I had a question, what type of weight reduction do you run, do you run a different battery? Does a lightweight battery affect daily reliability?
I used to run 305 NT05Rs on my PP wheels and ran a best of 7.9 with those tires usually 7.9-8.3. I think the car has a better 60' in it than a 1.6. I only ran twice, maybe next time I can pull a 1.5, especially once I get the aftermarket DriveShaft back from inspection from DSS and some slight...
I made two decent passes and am trying to sharpen myself out for a 11.50 index class that will be happening in October at a local event. Any tips would be much appreciated, this was done at a local 8th mile track. I believe the DA was 1970. This is an M6 car.
First pass: Lost slip but ran a...
So for these comp turbos, What are the services required for maintenance in total? Such as repacking or something of the same note every certain amount of miles?
Yeah my bad for asking that question. Realized above you mentioned Whipple calibration. I'm debating between TT and Whipple, and love to see a Manual FI times for Whipple and TT setups.
