  1. My 2020 GT500 Carbon Fiber Track Pack... On The Track!

L0199 (Left the factory on Dec 3rd).
  2. My 2020 GT500 Carbon Fiber Track Pack... On The Track!

I was going to get Orange as well, but then found out everyone was ordering Orange AND I daily the car, so that wasn't going to work. I've had many blue cars in the past so went for the blue. I chose FPB because its more rare than the other blues and exclusive to the FP range. Zero regrets...
  3. My 2020 GT500 Carbon Fiber Track Pack... On The Track!

The first video was after the third of three full track days. Thermal Club w/Track Alignment (at Ford Performance spec), and then two days at Big Willow running a compromise between street and track alignment. I think -1 rear and -1.6 front camber. Track spec is 1.6 rear and 2.6 front. The...
  4. My 2020 GT500 Carbon Fiber Track Pack... On The Track!

Here is a little video from a track day at Big Willow including some fun drifting and a comparison between the stock GT500 exhaust and my new Borla Atak CAT back system. This next video is some laps of Streets of Willow with firstly me doing some reasonable laps, then Will Wattanawongkiri...
  5. Road Course thoughts?

Nothing much more than I’ve already said. Tire temps are important for sure. Always checking and adjusting constantly. Making sure to be running no more than about 36 hot. It’s easy to overcook slow corners. Better to stop the car properly and accelerate through the apex. There’s much more but...
  6. Road Course thoughts?

I was lucky in that the guy riding shotgun with me knows more about how to drive & set this car up properly than probably anyone else out there. He could certainly teach RP how to get real lap times out of it. Randy was basically driving the car at 8/10ths. I know what it feels like at 10!! If...
  7. Road Course thoughts?

Factory settings are -2.25, I went a little further. Right there in the GT500 supplement. The car wasn’t set up right for RP / MT. No wicker splitters, wing was in street setting (low), rain tray was still in. So I can’t imagine they set the camber alignment correctly and forgot all that other...
  8. Anderson Composites

Do you have a CFTP with these parts installed? Or have you actually weighed the OEM v the AC parts or is this weight total theory?
  9. Exhaust options.

One thing I’ll say is as you put in the miles the exhaust opens up a fair amount. In the few miles I was on the track (850-1000) the exhaust note changed considerably!! So be patient. But if you’re still not happy at 1000 ā€˜ilea make some changes. I installed the Lethal Performance res delete...
  10. Road Course thoughts?

I can't find the alignment sheets as yet but... For the PDI I had the car set up to factory street spec: Camber F -1.1 (as per ford spec) Camber R -1.7 (as per ford spec) For track: Camber F -2.3 (it could've gone further... probably to -3) Camber R - 2.3 (pretty much maxed out) Then when I...
  11. Road Course thoughts?

The ONLY difficulty is watching those carbon wheels and trying to drive at reasonable speeds. This car does NOT want to stay under the speed limit!
  12. Road Course thoughts?

Galpin Ford did the initial street alignment, then I had Upland Ford (I know the manager there and it was en route to the track) do the first oil change and track alignment. The front alignment was quite easy with the camber plates installed, but the rear was more tricky balancing all there...
  13. CFTP Cars and Oil Separators: Already Installed by the Factory?

Galpin installed my oil separator, camber plates, splitter and wicker splitters. And checked street alignment during PDI. No extra charge. I also adjusted the rear wing to track position right away. Because #Racecar. After 850 miles of careful break-in (done in a day and a half) I did the first...
  14. Road Course thoughts?

So here are my thoughts. Firstly, I’ve had a 2016 GT350 & a 2017 GT350R and had multiple track days with both. I’m no pro driver but a reasonably good amateur... perhaps. Anyway, I picked up my 2020 CFTP and immediately took it for an 8 hour tour of SoCal to get some break in miles on it...
  15. 2020 GT500's Scheduled For Production - Part 1

FYI: There is some wrong info at the beginning. Someone else has written my chassis number as their own?! My Car Chassis: 0199 VIN: ...1277 Status: Delivered Spec: CFTP, FPB, No Stripe, Black Roof.
  16. 2020 Shelby GT350 Engine Failure

Thats not a bad idea. I wonder if they'll go for this? I guess it depends how long the dealer holds the car for before sending back to Ford and if the new car is immediately available (and the same color). I think this is also at the dealers discretion. They may charge labor to get that done.
  17. 2020 Shelby GT350 Engine Failure

Go buy back. You won't lose any money from the payments as the buyback is taken from the date and mileage of first occurrence. And with such low mileage they'll simply offer you a full refund. But you won't get, money back for the tint or PPF. They don't refund on after market unfortunately. I...
  18. Car and Driver 2020 GT500 First Test - 11.4 @ 132 quarter mile

Complete novices and media who'd never dragged before were logging quicker times than this at the GT500 Track Tour at Las Vegas Speedway! Sure, the wing may slow the car down a little at the higher speeds over 100mph, but certainly shouldn't affect the 0-60, especially with the carbon wheels and...
  19. 2020 GT500's Scheduled For Production - Part 1

Yep!! Thank you! It arrived late yesterday at Mira Loma. Now we have to see how long a hot tagged car takes to get transported to the dealer!
  20. 2020 GT500's Scheduled For Production - Part 1

Interesting. How the hell do you get the railcar number and can that be tracked?
