  1. Chassis upgrades worth it for a daily driver?

Worth it for a DD? Absolutely! A handful of carefully selected mods has made my commute much more enjoyable (see sig for list) and I'd do it again without a second thought. That said, the factory K-brace is an inexpensive and easy upgrade, the aftermarket braces are intended to reinforce the...
  2. Caliper Color opinions

I went with red, but my interior is Showstopper and I wanted to build on that rather than add a random additional color. Assuming you have a black interior, you can go with any color you want, I vote for green.
  3. Exhaust ideas? Wanting more rumble.

I'd be happy if I could make my EB sound like my 944, better still, like an Alfa 4C.
  4. Mustang Weak Performance

I'm not sure that THE Ecoboost would be the top Mustang, but probably AN Ecoboost, most likely the 3.5 Ecoboost from the GT. The Mustang would also be 10% lighter and they would have switched to IRS with the fox body. It's common knowledge that Ford had, among others, the Audi A5. Imagine if...
  5. Mustang Weak Performance

This is especially true of the American auto industry. Most of the world embraced smaller, lighter cars with smaller engines and then augmented that with fuel injection, forced induction, more valves, etc. Ford, GM and Chrysler simply detuned the same pushrod V8s until they were forced to admit...
  6. RLCA Help: Spherical Bearing vs. Poly Bushing

Spell check wouldn't hurt, either. There may be some valid information in there somewhere, but finding it isn't easy.
  7. CB010 with / without spacers

Unfortunately, it's hard to say for sure since they were installed at the same time as my springs, shocks, struts and front control arms. I will say that, even with all the other mods, I don't feel that my rear subframe is in need of additional support.
  8. CB010 with / without spacers

I combined the BMR CB010 with Steeda's 555-4438 kit and have no complaints. I went with the CB010 when I was thinking I'd be adding the CB762, but I'm not so sure I need the additional support so it's down at the end of the to-do list now.
  9. RLCA Help: Spherical Bearing vs. Poly Bushing

I bet you could write an accurate description while using fewer words than 308's post...
  10. If you designed a Mustang, what dimensions (l x w x h) you would have?

My understanding is that the coyote is too wide, but there are numerous small block chevy and LS swaps out there. I'd love to see the Mustang get substantially closer to the size of the 944 but I'd be OK with it being a couple inches wider so the coyote would fit. Better still, get the Mustang...
  11. Got the wheels I wanted, looking for advice on my next steps...

Take a peek under your car. I ordered the parts and when it came time to install it, there was already one there.
  12. Got the wheels I wanted, looking for advice on my next steps...

I consider the GT350R springs sporty but streetable. YMMV. ;)
  13. Ford Performance released its PP2 replica wheels

A better idea might be to figure out what tire size(s) you want and then buy the wheels in the proper sizes.
  14. Rear brembo's for the GT pp1...any options

The 6 Piston PP1 brakes are a nice upgrade for a track car, I don't know that it's a huge difference in stopping power but they can handle the heat produced on track much better. Your stock rear brakes will have no problem keeping up their part of the job, they are more than adequate. Swapping...
  15. Rear brembo's for the GT pp1...any options

Most of your braking ability comes from your front brakes, due to weight transfer the rears aren't able to contribute much and the stock rears are more than enough for the job. Your braking distances are primarily limited by your tires' ability to grip the ground under hard braking. Bigger rear...
  16. Am I supposed to need a spring compressor?

It's not a lot of torque, a lot less than the lug nuts need. Wrap some sort of rubber around it and use vice grips, pond liner would work. Slide the bump stop down and grip it as close to the nut as you can so if it does leave a mark it will be above the seals in the strut at maximum travel. I'd...
  17. Am I supposed to need a spring compressor?

I left torquing the nut to the mechanic that installed them. In your case, it's the shaft of the strut that's spinning as you turn the nut. You need to hold the shaft with either a wrench on the end of the shaft, above the nut, or grip the shaft (don't mar the surface). For my next trick, I may...
  18. 19" Wheels for 2020 Mustang GT w/Performance Pack 1 & MagneRide?

You'd be surprised. Most stock Ford wheels are cast, that makes them heavy and does not result in strong wheels. Forged wheels are usually lighter, often substantially lighter, and can be much stronger as well. The downside is that forged wheels are more expensive than cast wheels. Somewhere...
  19. would like info / Help

Wouldn't hurt to throw a volt meter on it...
  20. 19" Wheels for 2020 Mustang GT w/Performance Pack 1 & MagneRide?

Good looking wheel, but a couple lbs heavier than I'm looking for. My Black Accent wheels are about 26 lbs and I'm looking for something that's a couple lbs lighter to offset any increase in tire weight when I go from 255/40 to 275/40 or 285/35.
