Dynos can be subjective too. You have a split crowd here and maybe the dyno means more to some and the trap speed means more to others.
  2. Tune+ GTX2867r Thread

To the average ecoboost owner, they are not going to run 10s on this turbo.
  3. Tune+ GTX2867r Thread

I personally do not see this turbo being capable of running 10s. If that is your goal, I would look to something bigger than this.

Dyno numbers do not really mean much. I am more interested in trap speeds. I don't see anybody with upgraded turbos posting quarter mile times.

This is only my first revision on 93, but I am hitting 5psi @ 2700rpm, 10psi @ 3100rpm and 15psi @ 3600rpm. The car definitely has a different tone to it now. I have MAP catless downpipe with stock exhaust. It honestly sounds pretty good.

I got it all bolted up last night. I'm having issues getting my downpipe to seal again. I have a few more things to do but should be logging this afternoon. Install went pretty smooth. I highly suggest clamping off your coolant lines as suggested earlier.

Mine will be here today as well. I already started tearing into it a little bit last night. I also switched out my MAP intercooler for my ATM. It looks pretty straight forward. I ordered new gaskets from Ford, so I should be all set. I emailed Adam this morning for a base tune.

Does it build any boost off the line? Are you on drag radials or street tires?
  9. Vargas Stage 2 Owners

I wanted to create this thread for people that purchased the Vargas Stage 2 to post up reviews, drag times, spool info, any issues and anything else related to this turbo. Mine should be here next week and I'm excited to get it installed and tuned. I am hoping for 120 to 125mph trap speeds on E85.
  10. VTT Stage 2 Giveaway!

The turbo entitlement crowd, geez!. Thanks for having this turbo giveaway, even though I didn't win, it is much appreciated!
  11. To go big or not to go big..that is the question

They are (Or at least were just recently) offering 20% off, which brought it down to $3,600 and according to one of their posts on facebook, you could opt out of an intercooler bringing the price down even further. I tried finding the coupon code for you real quick but I didn't see it. I'd call...
  12. To go big or not to go big..that is the question

If you are going to upgrade, I'd get something bigger than the kit Adam offers on his website. All it is is a MAP turbo kit with a Garret turbo instead of the PTE. That's a lot of coin for not that big of an increase in power potential. If you are wanting low end torque (Spinning) I suggest...
  13. What's the best downpipe available?

Any of your main manufactures will be fine as far as quality goes. I have MAP catless, but I got it used for cheap. I have been using a UPR DVCC for 5K miles with no issues. It appears the new trend now is a vented catch can though.
  14. What's the best downpipe available?

All catless downpipes will yield you roughly the same HP. I would look more at quality in this case. I have read that the JLT did perform the best out of the available CAI at the time. I am looking to purchase one here too, but I am not sure which one I want yet.
  15. What's the best downpipe available?

I have the MAP catless downpipe, it will throw a code. It took it a little while, but within a few months it came on. I highly recommend a catless downpipe.
  16. ATM Silicone Charge Pipes Production Pics

Do you still have these in stock and your Intercoolers?
  17. To CAI or not?

I would think that once you upgrade turbos, a CAI would become more beneficial. I am waiting on my Vargas S2 right now.
