  1. 60-130mph times for boosted cars

Suspension, Check (Full Steeda HPDE), Tires, almost check, MP4S 285/30/20 front 315/30/20 rear. Traction from 50 in "Normal" mode (A10) with TC off AT on, exactly 0. LOL. It's crazy. But, I love it. Going to get a DR setup very soon.

Crossposting this - Who the hell can get any traction (on the street) when you're over 700 rwhp?

2000? Nice. Guess you're planning on building the drivetrain and tranny.

Sounds like a great plan. any reason you didn't go with a Fore Innovations setup? I skipped the 1050's and went straight to the 1300's. Who knows what I'm going to wind up with once I have this setup for a year or so.
  8. New S550 Owner looking for Boost

^^Exactly! ^^ but, what do I know? Lol can't say I'm unhappy with my choice (Vortech) as the car is insanely fun to drive. And, I'm not going to hang out with the Kool kiddies in Mexico. I'm a bit old for that scene. OTOH, I can always tear it apart and do a turbo setup. I'll just wait till you...

Steeda stuff is well engineered and top notch. They are hard to get on the phone as their resources are pretty slammed. Ping TJ at Steeda and he should be able to help. I'm guessing you're not building a 100% race car so, its pretty simple to pick what you need for street/strip duty. Get a stop...

Dude!! Here are my thoughts. Undecided: What suspension to get, leaning towards steeda stop the hop kit if they'd actually call me back and discuss things. Needs to keep good street manners. I have the whole shabang. Steeda HPDE setup with Adjustable Struts and Sway Bars. I just picked up the...

  12. New S550 Owner looking for Boost

    860. This is about the limit for the stock shortblock. You can achieve this with ANY of the FI setups mentioned. All depends on what you are looking for.
  13. New S550 Owner looking for Boost

Currently Vortech, E85, the whole shebang. Makes plenty of power in fact, more than my original goal. That said, this setup is tapped out. Would need to swap out the head unit to get more. My setup is pretty unique as my boost is 2 stage adjustable. With a Turbo setup, you can add a boost...

Go Turbo. That's what I'd do in hindsight.
  15. 2019 GT w/Vortech V3 JT and 3.12 Pulley on E85 Dyno

Well, to use E85 in a boosted application, you need a fuel system. I'm sure he has LT's too. No secret to make that kind of HP.

    ^^This^^ I have the Innovate equivalent. https://www.innovatemotorsports.com/products/MTXD.php#3851
  17. Making claims (involving octane booster)

Interesting that you bring this up as I'm debating this very topic in my thoughts. I have a 2019 with a Centri (Vortech). I've had in installed for a few months and was originally tuned on 93 WITHOUT any octane modifiers and made a respectable 650 RWHP. I am now on to phase 2 of my build that...
  18. Anyone with a 3.48 pulley on a Vortech v3 Si?

Sure you can. As long as you don't go over the 52k impeller speed limit for a sustained period. You will need a retune. Assuming you're using the stock lower balancer pulley (6.78") even shifting at 7500 rpm's you're at 52k and change but only for a brief time...
  19. paxton torque booster/wastegate overview

Great post. I have this setup in the process of install/tune right now. Same spring (10lbs) and 3.33 pulley but I'm adding a 2-Stage Boost Controller to have the ability of going from 93 octane @10lbs to E85 @14ish lbs.
