  1. 1/4 Mile ET/MPH with high IATs

I’m assuming you’re running E85? Keep in mind alcohol needs heat to vaporize properly so you don’t have to go crazy with cooling. Agree 200+ degrees is not right. What intercooler pump are you running?
  2. 1/4 Mile ET/MPH with high IATs

You should work on improving the efficiency of your engine so that you can get your boost number down. If I’m not mistaken your blower uses the Maggie/Eaton 2650 rotor pack, and that units efficiency drops off after 20 psi. Your obviously outside of that compressors efficiency island with...
  3. What did you do to your S550 Mustang today?!

FYI a deer strike is covered by comprehensive insurance, not collision. It shouldn’t result in any rate increases for you so might be worth taking a look at that.
  4. What did you do to your S550 Mustang today?!

Disagree. Brake fluid is hydroscopic and absorbs moisture. Any semi serious performance car should flush the fluid at least every other year. Otherwise that moisture corrodes components internally and lowers the fluid boiling point. No bueno!
  5. Is it smart to use weakend/diluted wheel cleaner to clean track slag and brake dust on ceramic and or PPF?

Griot’s Garage Track Spray is great for getting rubber slag off the car. I use it on the rear quarter panels of my Camaro after returning from the drag strip.
  6. Mach 1 or Dark Horse

    Negative.
  7. Mach 1 or Dark Horse

Me too lol šŸ˜‚ I like them both a lot. I just like the Dark Horse a little more. šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø
  8. Has anyone tried a steering wheel wrap from StitchingCover.com?

My wife is EXTREMELY detail oriented. She’s a silversmith who makes jewelry from absolute scratch (shameless plug for The Striped Cat Metalworks if you want something nice for your lady friend haha) so she has infinitely more patience than me…and it still didn’t come out 100%. It’s better than...
  9. Has anyone tried a steering wheel wrap from StitchingCover.com?

Yes, I did it on my Mercedes. It’s a real bitch to get it right and hours of stitching. I suppose if your a Chinese girl that does it for a living it can come out mint. If you’re just a regular guy you’re going to hate life installing it. I had my wife help on mine and it’s still not...
  10. Electric for everyone - the impossible dream

Apples to oranges. Not everyone drives EVs and EVs have zero impact on the supply chain. Meanwhile oil drives our entire economy, trucking & supply chain, and defense. Lower oil prices help people heat their homes in the Northeast. Those lower oil costs keep the cost of transporting food to...
  11. What did you do to your S550 Mustang today?!

Definitely not! It’s really just removing any residual water that the blower didn’t remove. If it’s been six years, get some Griots Garage engine bay cleaner and a soft brush to gently scrub it down first before rinsing and wipe down.
  12. What did you do to your S550 Mustang today?!

Yes, followed by blow dry & wipe down with a microfiber. The engine bay never has anything more than occasional dust or pollen so I don’t need anything ā€œheavy dutyā€ to keep it clean. :)
  13. What did you do to your S550 Mustang today?!

Gave her the first touch free bath of the year. Decided to give the engine bay the touchless treatment too. šŸ‘
  14. Carbon wheels. Where to get tires mounted MA/RI??

Have not. I’m just a peasant so no carbon fiber wheels for me. šŸ˜‚
  15. Carbon wheels. Where to get tires mounted MA/RI??

C&R Tire in Worcester has the Hunter Revolution ā€œtouchlessā€ tire mounting machine and the Hunter Elite road force balance machine. They’ve done all my wheels and tires for nearly a decade on every car I’ve owned. Ask to see the guy who does the actual work (believe his name is Lou) and slip...
