  2. Ohio Sold: 2017 GT350 w/ 4k miles

For sale is my 2017 white w/ Kona blue stripes GT350 with Electronics Package in excellent condition. Build date is later in 2017 so has the cartridge oil filter. I’m the second owner. I purchased the car with just over 300 miles in 2019 and it now has only 4674 miles. Still has the factory...
  3. Cobrajet intake manifold dyno

What cold air intake did you end up using? Any photos of the engine bay after completed install? Dyno results? Thanks!
  4. Staggered or Squared Setup?

    Yep, SM-10. 19x11 +52. +25mm spacer on the front.
  5. Staggered or Squared Setup?

Here’s another option for a GT350. My car is on Ford Performance springs. I was planning on using 19x11 wheels with 315/30 square but didn’t want the car to be any lower so went with 305/35 PSS. Suspension does need to settle a little from putting the wheels on.
  6. Is this normal piston slap?

The rattling between 2 - 3k rpm is the piston slap and can occur when engine isn’t up to full operating temp. OP - is the noise there between 2 - 3k rpm with light throttle after oil temp reaches at least 200?
  7. Is this normal piston slap?

Yep, between 2 - 3k rpm. What was your oil temp when recording the videos? Noise should go away or be greatly reduced once up to normal operating temp.
  8. 5 dead starters, suggestions?

Since starters are dying from vibration, would be curious how starter life changes from lowering peak engine rpm. If not competing, and only doing regular track events, try shifting at 7k rpm. Not as fun as winding out the engine to 8250 but not fun dealing with dead starters all the time...
  9. 2017 FP350S #045

FP350S is obviously set up for slicks. Driving on street tires would be terrible…..way too much spring rate. Unless the suspension was changed to compensate for the lower grip street tires, which is doubtful.
  10. 2017 GT 350

I bought my 2017 in late 2019 with 325 miles. Now has 4250. Only issue has been a leaking oil pressure sensor. Was fixed under warranty, no issue since. Doesn’t burn any measurable amount of oil. They are special cars. Wouldn’t hesitate to buy any year with the original engine or a...

How much did the BMR springs lower the front and rear from stock? Thank you!
  12. Honey Badger's Completely Off-the-Rails Race Car Build and Track Adventure Thread

Did you get the new SPH767 BMR springs? How is the static drop compared to the FP springs? Thanks!

  14. How do you make your GT350 stand out?

Not sure what your ultimate plans are but I think it would look really cool to leave the carbon fiber exposed but add the red with black accent stripes!
  15. Let's talk trailers...anyone with a custom ATC/inTech?

With those two tow vehicles, get a gooseneck trailer!
  16. What are some common pain points on cars that see track duty?

If tracking, most tracks have more right handers than left because clockwise direction. This puts more load into the left rear wheel bearing compared to right for same miles run.
  17. Honey Badger's Completely Off-the-Rails Race Car Build and Track Adventure Thread

Suspect some toe setting issues, which would definitely cause understeer.
  18. Fighting understeer in high speed corners

Passengers don’t help šŸ˜€, but yes to my previous point……under sprung. Need more roll stiffness. I’d try full stiff on front sway bar and then with front at full stiff, change rear to full stiff. Not enough rear roll stiffness can also reduce front grip as rear squats too much. And the...
  19. Fighting understeer in high speed corners

Thatā€˜s why I suggested increasing front roll stiffness. The intuitive solution to correct understeer on ā€œstreet suspensionā€ with sticky tires is to decrease front roll stiffness and/or decrease tire pressure. This usually doesn’t help and most the time makes it understeer more. We discussed it...
