  1. Fighting understeer in high speed corners

How is the tire wear on the front? How far onto the shoulder? You know, to maximize grip on street tires and not kill them quick, it’s a fine balance between alignment, roll stiffness, tire pressure, alignment and driving style. Honestly, Iā€˜ve never put too much stock in pyrometer readings...
  2. Fighting understeer in high speed corners

Taking grip away from one end to ā€œcreate balanceā€ is never a good thing. It may feel faster because your driving effort has increased with a looser car but overall doubtful it will be. Always want to figure out how to increase grip to the end that needs it. How stiff is the sidewall on the...
  3. Let's talk trailers...anyone with a custom ATC/inTech?

Thanks. The carpet was purchased through Home Depot. 6ft width and cut to desired length. 6ft was perfect. Cut in half so height of carpet on walls is 3ft. https://www.homedepot.com/p/TrafficMaster-Seafront-Color-Gunnel-Gray-6-ft-Indoor-Outdoor-Texture-Marine-Carpet-7DD4N470072FT/206535308...
  4. Let's talk trailers...anyone with a custom ATC/inTech?

Because you added all the goodies . To have Intech add carpet to walls would have been almost $2k IIRC. I spent ~$300 for carpet, J channel, fasteners and double sided tape. Plus aircraft channel is way more expensive than etrack.
  5. Let's talk trailers...anyone with a custom ATC/inTech?

I have a 24’ Intech (similar to AC Tech design) Lite. It’s a great trailer. The Lite version has limited options. I upgraded to front cabinets and thicker exterior panel (same color as inthehighdesertā€˜s). I added winch, carpet, etrack, jack cradle and tie down hooks. I like etrack better...
  6. First Track Experience in the 350R - what a car

Hi Jim. Are you going to Pitt with AI in two wks? I’ll be there with the Camaro. Redid the exhaust; long tube headers, 3ā€ exhaust and no mufflers 😳! Oh Boy! Should be interesting!
  7. Shelby GT350 Garage Photos

1250sqft attached garage. 90k BTU heater and prepped for AC. Still need to organize some things and install better lighting.
  8. If you want more camber and cut your strut towers

Appreciate the info! No need for photo, since strut towers are stock and not modified.
  9. If you want more camber and cut your strut towers

Do you have stock struts and stock strut bolts? Is the bolt hole on the knuckle slotted? What camber plates? Thx!
  10. If you want more camber and cut your strut towers

If you don’t own a lathe, cost MANY pennies šŸ˜€

  14. Enclosed Trailers, who do you love? Any advice?

I have a 24’ Intech Lite. Great trailer. Intech and ATC are similar. I’ve heard it’s because some of the people from ATC left and started Intech. If budget allows, definitely invest in an aluminum trailer. They are lighter, tow better, don’t rust and hold their value WAY better than steel.
  15. I don't know if I'm being paranoid but I need some input

Same as mine. 5w50 Motorcraft oil, pressure and temp are fine. Only audible at idle from right wheel well. I drive my hard, no issues and like I mentioned above, noise hasn’t changed at all. I’ve seen some references about a ā€œtypewriterā€œ noise and I think there is a TSB, which said no action...
  16. I don't know if I'm being paranoid but I need some input

Mine has had a similar noise since day 1. More noticeable from right front well than left. Hasn’t changed pitch or intensity in 2k miles. Also had an oil analysis at 750 miles and all looked normal.
  17. How do you make your GT350 stand out?

Yep......just drive it! Stock car takes care of the rest!

Hey Jim. Great talking to you on Sunday. First two sessions was having issues with the throttle intermittently not working and adjustable clutch pedal bolt just about fell out.....race cars! Thankfully got it sorted out so salvaged a few sessions. See ya at Pitt!
