My sister's 2006 Mazda 6 has a much better fit and finish than my mustang, and mine was nearly twice the price.
It's not about the money, as I've already said. It's about attention to detail given the materials they used and the geometries used in the design.
I don't mind the way my car...
Wrong, I made my statement not even thinking about european buyers. Honestly, I don't really care.
You think the American consumer these days just doesn't care about a well built car? Come on now.
I am American, and I'll straight up say it again, my 2007 GT's interior is of terrible quality...
Lack of refinement has been the car's problem for years. Unrefined is fine for a classic car, but not for modern vehicles. Going "upscale" and making the car more luxurious with better comforts and ride quality can all be enhanced without really increasing the car's cost, especially in the...
I bet the design has been locked down for quite a few months now.
Why bother worrying about that? Nobody has seen the car or knows what it looks like anyways.
Either way, that means some suspension mods may actually put the car's handling in a legitimate league of top performers, especially for the money.
The Carrera S makes 450 hp. A GT being 3 seconds back is the difference between 300lbs weight and 30 hp. Hahahahahaha, wishful thinking!!!
All true.
Bottom line is that they will make a superior platform. Whether it's marginal or substantial is yet to be seen.
When SVT was caught with a test mule at Sebring doing some benchmarking, they had a Porsche 911 there, along with a ZL1 and another car, I can't remember what. I hope...
How in the hell do you pull Mustang II out of that Camaro rendering?
Because it has 4 wheels?
Seriously people, there is some sort of complex going on when everybody continually tries to find some design element of a different car just to write it off as "not a Mustang" or "not a Camaro"...
Handling perhaps, as was mentioned?
Ford has said nothing of it, so don't assume there isn't real improvements just because hardly anything has been said.
As for the weight, I know for a fact Ford was shooting for 200 lbs across the board. Whether they achieved, fell short or exceeded that...
To design distinct features of a traditional car into a modern vehicle and getting it to look right is a challenge. There are many ways to do it, but getting the right balance between what is "Mustang" vs. a complete departure of that is the tricky part.
My good man, the final design for the 2015 has been concrete for quite some time.
This is just edging off all you crackheads from losing your minds and having fresh ideas to dream about.
Yes, I am working on a GT. It's about 80% done most of the rear end is blank right now. Still trying a few different things with the rear. Having a hard time making it jive just right. Then I need to do some final detail work. Shading, reflection work etc.
I actually emailed it to...
I've used SolidWorks basically my entire career. It's my staple program.
It's not very flexible to design cars, well from a surfacing aspect. There are other programs that are much easier to use to design a car.
Designing an engine is more the type of stuff solidworks excels at, not...
Reflection work always takes me the most time. It's really difficult with complex surfaces.
What program did you use?
I'm just using Adobe CS6.
If you keep to yourself, I'd like some feedback on mine before I release it. Can you PM me your email?
I think you did great bro.
If I were to modify anything, it would be to add more depth around the wheels on the fenders. It looks fairly flat and smooth, which is a good look, but it's not a very aggressive look. It doesn't need a hard line, just more depth.
My rendering is near done, so...
