  3. Project 6GR Wheels S550 Mustang, Shelby GT350, GT500

Care to share your solution? I don't want to run a closed lug on top of an open lug and risk throwing a lug nut while driving down the highway. The tech at Gorilla lug nuts strongly recommend against doing that for just that reason. Don't know if it would happen or not, but not worth the risk IMO.
  4. Official GT350 Track Attack Attendance Thread

No doubt, but if he doesn't want to pay to do the 2nd day, then that's his only hope of doing it. Worth a shot. Worst they'll say is no.
  5. Official GT350 Track Attack Attendance Thread

I've never been on a track before and almost didn't do the track attack. Let me just say that I am so glad I did it! The instructors were awesome, and I had a blast! My only "complaint" was I would have liked more track time. I only did the one day as I wanted to minimize the time away. And...
  6. Carbon 2 Carbon Debuts 2015-17 GT350/GT350R Mustang Premium Carbon Fiber Aerodynamics

I'm sure it wasn't an afterthought, and they designed it to be as discreet as possible, but even on an all black car, with no stripes, and that thing painted to match, it is going to look like an afterthought to me. But it's cool that people who don't mind the look have the option of getting an...

    Thanks for the clarification, Paul.
  8. Project 6GR Wheels S550 Mustang, Shelby GT350, GT500

Paul, did you see Epiphany's comments regarding the studs of S550's? This causes me some concern. Will your wheels be fine if torquing to the factory spec of 150 lb-ft?
  9. Project 6GR Wheels S550 Mustang, Shelby GT350, GT500

I would be surprised if they didn't, but did you make sure they did a high speed balance? Usually you see the weights placed how they are in the picture of the stock wheel. Clip-on on the inside along with the sticky weights towards the front of the wheel. Not saying what they did is wrong, but...
  10. Project 6GR Wheels S550 Mustang, Shelby GT350, GT500

Did you have your wheels balanced? Was wondering where the weights were hiding if you did. Looks great btw!
  11. Project 6GR Wheels S550 Mustang, Shelby GT350, GT500

For some reason, I thought I remembered Paul saying 100 lb-ft for his Project 6GR wheels. Hopefully he'll chime in.
  12. Cheap Insurance to keep your 5.2L oil filter secure

This engine, these RPM's, I opt for that extra 2 lb/ft and feel slightly more comfortable doing 18 vs 16.
  13. For those that removed the clutch helper spring . . .

Too much fun playing with the go pedal in this car to use cruise control.
  14. For those that removed the clutch helper spring . . .

Just wait until you get the car and see what you think of the stock feel. You'll probably know right away if you like it or not. You can then take the spring out and try the clutch with no spring. If you like that better, then order the steeda spring. You don't have to have a spring, but some...
  15. Cheap Insurance to keep your 5.2L oil filter secure

This one works perfectly. Tight fit, no slippage  https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B014EN4HSO/ref=sxts1?ie=UTF8&qid=1472763135&sr=1&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65
  16. For those that removed the clutch helper spring . . .

Like was stated, super easy to fully depress the clutch pedal with one hand, grab the spring assembly with the other hand and push down the top towards the bottom of the spring and rotate towards the front of the car from what I remember. Then I think it just slides off the bottom post.
  17. Possible holy grail of mess-free oil changes???

Maybe I'll try a small sharp punch. I just didn't like the idea of hitting the filter with any force and messing up the threads or something. Suppose it would probably take a bit though. Tried drilling before and just got oil all over the drill. Someone mentioned a flexible cutting board. These...
  18. Things only a 350 owner can relate to....

How fast I burn through a tank of gas because I can't help but make that voodoo sing.
  19. Possible holy grail of mess-free oil changes???

Stumbled upon this on Amazon. Sure is a damn good idea. There are a couple of reviews that say it needs some work, so I'm on the fence. Plus it's gonna be a while before I'm due for another oil change. If anyone pulls the trigger to try it out, make sure and let us know how it works...
