I thought I read about this somewhere on the forum but can't find it with the search. I was going over my car as it will be going into the dealer soon for the initial quality issues found before/after delivery:
- Front bumper scratches
- Extremely poor touchup from the factory driver door...
My front seat leather looks a size too big in areas too, especially the bolsters. A lot of loose leather. Not what I expect in a 40k car. I am going to see what the dealer says when I take it in for all the other issues.
I noticed that my Navigation time hasn't updated to the proper DST time, and even when I force update from GPS it is still an hour behind. I looked around for other DST settings but couldn't find any. Anyone else have this issue?
I was inspired by 33.3's setup and have a ms-8 waiting to be installed. I thought it was believed that we have to take signal from the output of the factory amp to keep full functionality. Can we completely bypass the amp outputs and grab signal directly from the head unit and everything will...
I noticed a wicked rattle a few times during the 107 miles I drove before putting away for winter and it seemed to be coming front left of the driver. Could be the A pillar or the light switch as others mentioned. My car was built in December, wonder if it will be a TSB eventually?
Wow, great update and pics. I have to admit though that I am beginning to lose my nerve seeing how much is involved here. Do you know what gauge the factory wires to the speakers are?
Sorry for the newb questions, as I don't know a whole lot about car audio. Are you using the PP 3-way passive crossover for just one input channel for the two outputs (mid/high) and keeping the woofer on its own dedicated channel to the MS8? Is it possible to run it this way?
