Yeah noticed the same thing when I put a 56" wide wing on my RX7. Got me a couple of times when I was working on it next to the trailer. I think some fluorescent pool noodles might be the ticket for protection from the end plates.
My car has Steeda Comp springs with 2.75 degrees of negative camber on the front. This is a non-PP1 base GT. Note that regardless of the width of the wheel, I found that I need 6.95" back spacing in the front to keep the tires from rubbing on struts.
These are 18X10 w/42mm offset. I use 5mm...
I got in when there were already 900+ signed up. Totally forgot about it but fortunately someone posted a reminder on our Regions FB page.
I would expect at least 10% of the people that are signed up now will have to cancel. So the wait list folks will probably get a shot.
Second vote for paint vs powder coat. I have been told by reputable source in the tire and wheel business that powder coating can affect the temper of aluminum wheels. So a safety concern in my opinion.
What about AFFF:

Easier to clean up after a small fire and I would think it would be ideal on a grass fire. Pitstop USA also sells quick release fire bottle mounts.
Regarding a fire in a...
I have to admit to having the same concerns of late. That said, over many years of out of town travel driving my car to events and trailering my race to club races, I have had no issues.
In addtion to wheel locks, I was considering one of these:
Just like wheel locks they can be...
Discount Tire owns Tire Rack so pricing would be the same. I got my Conti's through a local Discount Tire because I like their road hazard certificates. I did my research on Tire Rack. Over the years I have found owner comments on Tire Rack to very useful. Typically I can find several...
Spend time making sure that all the air that passes through the grill has to go through the radiator. Making more openings in the grill if air can bypass the radiator won't do much good. A lesson learned trying to get an aero nose Fox Body mustang to cool in SCCA club racing.
I currently road...
Plus Juan on the Conti DWS. I have a set mounted on my factory 18x8 wheels. They are quiet, provide a decent ride and are sporty when you need them to be
I'll answer your question in two ways
First
Likely. I have this exact size tire on 19x11 wheels and when I stack them the side walls of the tires are touching and not the rims. So on a 19x10, the side wall of the tire will bulge more than they do on 19x11s. The tires in my example are...
OE tire outer diameter is 27" +- a few tenths of an inch. As long as you stay close to that diameter you should be fine relative to tire clearance and speedo accuracy.
The calculators links not withstanding the best tool for sizing tires is the Tire Rack. You can search by size and then...
When I see mods on a car, I walk away. Too many variables beginning with did the installer know what they were doing. The headlights on the car seem to indicate that they don't
Don't know if I would trust them on the offer for the new car either.
I remember A008s!!
So Go-Karting a Fox mustang was pretty common early on in A-Sedan road racing for the reasons you stated. Eventually they figured out how to "fix" the cars within the rules and spring rates came down and tire life got better
In my case, all of the Fox-Body issues had been...
RE Spring rates
I had a 85 GT C Prepared Mustang I ran from 1990 to 2002. During that time spring rates went up inline with tire size increases and tire compound/design improvements. For example, when I started CP was limited to 10 inch wide wheels and 15" wheels were still the hot ticket...
Optimum tire pressure has more to do with the construction of the tire than it does the size of the tire or the width of the wheel. If you buy the same size tire from two different manufacturers and put them on the same size wheel it is possible that each tire will have a different optimum...
I hear you, I think my 2017 Mustang will be my last new Mustang purchase........oh wait I have said that before. I mean in 1985 I thought the new mail slot looking grill on the Mustang was fugly. So much so that I have owned two 85GTs - one is parked next to my 2017. Fickle.....
My bank account balance.
Also I think they are ugly. But to be fair, I didn't like the 2010 refresh but then bought a 2012 Mustang 3 years later. Oh and when the S550 came out I swore I would never own one. However, I love my 2017 Mustang GT
So clearly my taste in cars is fickle. Not...
In normal times it was possible to take advantage of a model change (or even a refresh). All you had to do is find a previous model that had sat on a lot for a long time and was deemed to be undesirable. In 2018, for example, it was possible to buy a new 2017 Mustang V6 for $19K.
I took...
Watched the video. The perp wasn't getting away. Did you see how many other cop cars were immediately on the scene when the video car pitted the mustang. Glad no innocent parties were impacted.
This stuff is all fun an games until the perp or the cops take out a mini van full of kids.
