Hey guys, what all do you think/can be done to get a power bump on the 5.0? Isn’t it kind of maxed out already? I’m wondering how they could get more power than what the Bullitt currently has

Was that all cause of the velossa tech or also because of the added foam strip on the heat shielding? Also, do you think there’s any benefit to a velossa tech on a completely stock car?

Oh yeah I would really only do it with a lund e85 tune, did you have any numbers with it? Also, stock IAT’s with the Roush? I wonder if others have installed it wrong cause I heard it was worse than the JLT so I’m puzzled. What are your IAT’s like sitting at idle?

I believe the gt350 JLT is tune required as well since it is still larger MAF. You’d have to use a no tune required aftermarket intake for the gt350 or the gt350 intake itself. But I’m not sure if gt350 intakes are a direct fit for our 18+ GT’s.

Agreed on all of that. Do you ever notice the temps get really high?

Yeah not too sure I just recently started looking into it Not sure on you current mods but Injen has a closed box intake that looks really worth trying as I just found out it has a restrictor you can cut out to run larger MAF

Regarding the velossa tech, a guy on here tested it and picked up some mph. His name was mazman I believe. Also, a guy with a 6th gen camaro picked you 2 mph with it on a stock car and even showed more airflow through the stock box. I’m skeptical and wish there was more data

That’s not bad at all. Still the price of some of the other intakes. Have you gotten it in the dyno at all?

Interesting, I’ve been looking at an intake that’s a metal and silver but wasn’t sure it would be good compared to black plastic for heat resistance. Another thought I’ve always had is, I wonder if black cars heatsoak faster than white? Weird thought I know but kindw have wondered

I’m surprised it works that well. Can you get a different colored tape like black or something?
