I'm a novice when it comes to this so please forgive what might be a stupid question....if they are to beneficial to the handling and make such a dramatic difference, wouldn't there be an issue with having the stock struts up front with the Vikings in the back? It seems like one would want a...
I'd be interested in hearing from any members that have this installed. I've never used a windscreen in my convertibles so I'd be interested to hear, no pun intended, how much quieter these make the car.
This weekend I installed Steeda hood struts, stuck on the build plate, front corner amber light tint and finally got my plates.
I was thinking about the full headlight tint but I didn't want to compromise night visibility nor increase my risk of getting pulled over. The tint on the amber...
I called Steeda this morning to get the status of my progressive springs and sway bars I ordered a couple weeks ago. I was told the springs that were scheduled to be in last week were delayed but they were sure they would be in stock yet this week and should ship out by the end of the week.
Nice looking install! What brand and model mirror mount is that? Is that a Blendmount? Can the detector be easily removed without screwing up the mount adjustment? (I've got a convertible and need something I can easily add and remove.)
I ordered a backseat cover from ShearComfort.com recently but haven't gotten it yet. Their covers look good and might work for you. I can't comment on the quality or install yet but thought I share them as an option for you.
I'm fairly mechanically inclined. I can figure most things out without too much trouble. It isn't my DD so I figure I can take my time as well. I assume since you are suggesting 4 jack stands that the idea is to put the entire car up and leave it up while I do all the work? That does seem easier...
So I've got a pile of parts to install (minus the Steeda springs and sway bars that are back ordered) and I'm considering doing the install myself when the last of the parts arrive. I only have basic hand tools available. (i.e. basic wrenches, sockets, etc.) The most advanced tool I have is a...
I'm in the same boat at the OP. Looking to dress up the engine bay but not exactly sure how yet. I'm really thinking about painting the engine and coil covers but can't quite decide on the color setup.
Looks great! I'd love to give that a try. What kind of paint did you use? How tape off the insets? Any tips for those of us non painters that might want to give it a try?
I opted for the Anchor-Room corner tint as opposed to tinting the entire light for the same reason. I don't want to worry about getting pulled over AND I don't want to impair my night driving. I figure with the headlights and taillights open, I'll have the best visibility and not attract any...
I asked that same question on another thread where someone installed the billet style and he said it did not come with the logo/emblem. I'm guessing it is just for the photos but I'd love to hear someone confirm that the logo is either not there or is removable.
Did you loose any functionality with the generic mirror they built it into? The stock one, on my car at least, has some kind of sensor on the backside. I'm not sure what it is for though. Perhaps rain sensing wipers or the sensor to turn the headlights on a night. (My window isn't near as dirty...
First, your car looks fantastic! Awesome job!
Have you been happy with the Escort and display in the mirror? I've REALLY been considering that exact detector since I've got a convertible. One of the things holding me back was the display. Is the display in the mirror bright enough?
I've...
