If dealers know they have an allocation(s), should they know by now if they can get the CFTP option? I have an allocation lined up, but my dealer told me last week that they still don't know if we can get the Carbon package.
We placed the order into their system on 12/31/22.
Prices rise every year, it just varies and that would be figured into depreciated cost. I don't think that will make up for any ADM paid, but I could be wrong.
Thanks for all the input. I have always went through the wheel on my '69 Firebird, '16 GT350, and '15 Z/28....but there is no way I want to risk anything happening to my carbon wheels!
Just picked up a Bear Track aluminum tilt trailer and a set of Race Ramps. It currently has D-rings front and back, but no E-track. I don't want to run my Mac straps through the carbon wheels. I was wondering if the Ford Performance tie downs work with the R due to its ride height and large...
I got tired of talking to dealers that tried to convince me that the car was worth $x dollars over MSRP. My local dealer is great to work with and doesn't pull the ADM BS. I can wait. it's 15 degrees here at the moment. Pilot Cup tires don't really like the type of weather we will have here for...
My dealers 2021 allocation was already being built when I started to pursue a GT500....and it wasn't a CFTP. They offered me their 2022 allocation which I can turn down if they can't get a CFTP car.
Not all dealers are scum bags. This is the same local dealer I ordered my '16 GT350 from the day the order banks opened for them....at MSRP when most dealers were at $5-10K over for base 350 car. This isn't my first rodeo.
My dealer is placing an order today for a unicorn....by that I mean a CFTP at MSRP! He spoke with his regional rep today and she said to place the order and she is gonna work at it to get it picked up for us. Not sure why Ford doesn't know who is getting the Carbon allocations yet.
Your dealer may have any allocation…like mine, but Ford hasn’t said who can order the CFTP cars yet. Dealers can place orders, but that doesn’t mean Ford will pick them up.
I have a '13 Boss and a '17 350R and agree with you on how they feel on the street. The difference comes form where the motor makes torque....I believe. I'm sitting here hoping my dealer gets an allocation for a '22 CFTP.
