Since this thread got revived, you can totally tap the rear speaker wire for a subwoofer. You can turn off the bass roll-off through Forscan. If you upgrade the speakers too, it improves their bass as well.
I did a similar DIY setup on my base 6 speakers Stang. 2 Fosgate tweeters, 2 two-ways for the doors and two more in the back. I added a P3D2-12 sub in a Zen Enclosures box behind the rear seats. It's powered by the P500X1BD amp and makes tons of base especially with the seats folded down.

In regards to old parts availability, 3D printing tech has come a long way. I read that Porsche has a restoration program for their classics where they just 3D print new parts that aren't in production. 10 years from now, that tech could be low enough in cost for non-luxury vehicles too.
I drove my last two cars until they died. I plan to do the same with my '17. It's the first "new" (@15k miles) car I've bought, so I'm looking forward to keeping good care of it. My older cars with a bunch of miles and limited service history which was a headache. If the next gen Mustang still...
Hey everyone. I've been browsing through the threads here and can't decide what the best option for upgrading my base GT brakes is.
I originally wanted to go all out on the GT350R kit, but I don't want to buy new rear wheels because of the offset.
Background: I tracked my car for the first time...
Some engineer probably calculated the exact speed where it just pops up and blocks the while windshield, so Ford put in the limit to over the lawsuits. The flutter at lower speeds is your warning to slow down.
This summer I ran Firestone Indy 500 305/35-20 on a 20x10.5 wheel with +38 offset. The tire was a bit taller than recommended so my speedo was off. I had the occasional rub on the rear when driving over dips on the highway. A 305/30 would probably be better, but I like the meaty tire look more.
Yeah all the ski people were saying get a subaru or chains. But I'll be driving on an insterstate so it should be reasonably plowed unless it's during a blizzard. I would just pull off and wait it out at that point.
I got a SeaSucker roof rack for them. My subwoofer ruled out fitting them...
Driving up to Colorado to ski next month. Legally snow tires are allowed on 2WD cars, but a skiing forum I'm in think I'm crazy and suggest getting chains too.
The Ford manual advises against using snow chains or cables on this tire size. I already have snow tires, but want to carry chains just in case.
Anyone here have any luck with putting chains on 20" wheels?
I think I'll still need them even if I don't go to Colorado. It already snowed here and I want to take some road trips this season to Utah or Santa Fe this year. My city can also get down to the teens with a lot of windchill. And my summer tires are sketchy below 40 deg
I have an extra set of 20x9 and 20x10.5 wheels and need to buy winter tires asap. I was looking at a set of the Vredestein Wintrac Pro in 245/40R20 and 275/35R20. They're only 250/each. Is it crazy to run 20" wheels in the winter? It doesn't snow much much where I live, but I plan on taking a...
