Ford does not add this from factory. I also changed all my factory fluids, except for my transmission. I just got a brand new transmission put in by ford and I added the XL-18 into the mix and it shifts just right. This is somewhat of remedy to this transmission. It’s pretty sad that we are...
Hello Everyone!
If anyone kept up with my last post on the car not being able to go into any gear at all, I ended up getting a whole new transmission pack from Ford. Anything involving the transmission, minus the driveshaft.
After getting the car back, it drove better than before for sure...
Here’s a fun update!
As I sat in my car this morning waiting for it to warm up. It started doing the vibration I was feeling. It seems it’s motor related or exhaust related. When I turn the AC off it, about 90% of it goes away.
I had the driveshaft on for about 4-6k miles. Mostly highway miles. Haven’t had any chances for track. It would be hard to record as it is more felt, you can’t really hear it.
I don't have side to side wobble, it's more of a smooth wobble vibration throughout the whole car, but feel it coming from the rear. I will check the rear dampers and reset them.
Hello Everyone,
Another mystery wobble...

UPDATE: Car came back from the dealer, I ended up getting a brand new transmission and new clutch/flywheel. Basically anything involving the transmission was completely replaced. Car does drive a lot better than before, put still crap characteristics of the mt82 are there. Clutch was the culprit...
Yeah mine is the last Ford I buy as well.. First mustang, the motor took a shit at 13k miles, and this 2nd one non stop transmission issues. Ford needs to stop cheaping out. I understand Henry Ford's philosophy in trying to make every car affordable to the masses, but people don't really care...
You can under federal law, it’s called the magnuson moss warranty act. I have a law suit with ford right now regarding my transmission in my 2018. I’m on my third transmission and it’s back in the shop again for a 4th time.
That’s good then! Do you have a hard time doing the 1-2 shift when launching? Is there a delay for you when shifting? Or is it a quick shift into second?
At this point, I’m regretting going with this manual. I just have a hard time driving a automatic sports car, I’ve always driven manual. Last time I did a race in a auto, I slammed my left foot on the ghost clutch and shoved the automatic shifter into neutral thinking I was shifting into 3rd lol.
It's your transmission, not your shifter. I would check the pin as well just incase, but most likely your transmission. I have a 18 and I'm on my 3rd transmission, and the car is back at the shop again for transmission problems. Gear Lock out, grinding noise in neutral, hissing noise, spitting...
I appreciate it man! The dealer has provided good service, but unfortunately they are backed up as well from other vehicles they have there. For me it's really frustrating for Ford to cheap out on such a essential piece of the car. Well see what happens with the law suit and go from there. This...
