4 years , 2 engines into ownership my personal vote is that the FPC just shakes itself to death and the Romeo Niche built bottom end just can't handle it.
Would a dry sump add some more peace of mind ? Definitely some more cost. I'm having transmission issues (like a lot other 2016/2017 MY...
Good luck OP !
however this is the last thread I needed to read before I took my 350 for a big trip down to tail of the dragon sorry to hijack:
Engine was replaced under warranty (oil issues of course) last year , dealer recommended new clutch (out of pocket of course) at the time, I opted for...
see that's the issue - guys say that and then when they do make one that beats the Germans the same guys turn around and say "well I need 4 doors" ...
Then they say "well what about electric... and the wife wants a crossover" :cwl::crackup:🤔
Ford couldn't give a cr*p frankly about the 'buyers'...
the 2015-2020 GT350 and GT350R , what an enigma
on paper , as a marketing exercise it did not fall in the same 'business as usual' SVT/Ford Racing/Ford Performance ...
it was such a departure and definitely talk about right place right time: Ford already played the HP number game (and it was...
Given my experience with the GT350 , they do not build the case IMO for the GT500 price point..
I'd just do a Porsche at the price they want for a GT500 CFTP
They did that , in 2004 with the S197
Didn't seem to make a huge dent in sales so why not share platforms
Its always possible to shorten a wheelbase if the engineers knew what they were doing when designing a 21st century modern day automative platform. EZ PZ...
But it will certainly compete...
the beat goes on ...
they are doing everything they can (and that can including re-using old but good hardware) to keep delivering those 2 door coupes convertibles year after year...
I guess we will see, I too was surprised when I heard they are trying to fill the track toy segment originally filled by the GT350 with the 'Mach 1' which was always more a glorified GT package than something that Ford legit took to the track and won races with...
Would have made sense to...
lol he's from the UK
Exactly - 'US' lol , so basically this knob's comfort really was completely irrelevant as to what was happening to the property. Sounds like hes boasting more about a lucky coincidence than anything... :cwl::cwl:
This is my 3rd Mustang , in a family of Fords...
I always say this is the first Mustang Ford built that lives up to its looks , and can really keep up with all of my friends' 'imported' machinery... I am on the coast after all. :)
Frankly I was at a BMW CCA event with one of my friends last...
Its just so funny because at the end of the day, the corporation only wants one thing, to possibly sell the same person a brand new car every 3-5 years.
But when you have us , with all our anxiety, issues, problems, projections, strengths, weaknesses, etc...
they're just trying to say "well...
Ehh...
I think in the end, Ford does not want to see the 2+2 coupe/convertible style 'go away' ,
but is it on the same level of not wanting to see the A/B/C three box sedan/hatcback/wagon market go away ?
In the end what they DO want to see , are happy customers transacting in good quality...
To me GM sees more of the Camaro front engine/Rear drive car competing with the likes of Porsche 911, MB AMG GT, Nissan GTR/Z.... that should retain the manual for the foreseeable future.
If the platform was a hot seller (and Cadillac saw success, rather than discontinuation) Alpha would have...
These front splitters add legitimate downforce and are a major part of the aero package and how the car does what it does on track..
It can easily provide Lbs and lbs of downforce; hitting a small animal at 'street' speeds like what a previous poster suggested is nothing compared to the aero...
I've definitely had talks here and there the last 3 years but in the end I Just couldn't justify the increase in cost (because there is an increase over a regular 350) without that much of an increase in performance.
The exclusivity is intriguing but I do not want to fall deeper into the...
Good to hear from you Norm ...
My argument to that is Ford always does these shades of changes... IMO it just makes more sense to leave the GT350 section of the market - for now. I'm sure there will be 'shades' of GT350 parts/concepts/tuning in other cars but based upon other speciality...
I think we can speculate all we want but the most pragmatic move especially in these times would be to skip the GT350 'class' for the remainder of the generation.
IMO Mach 1 was always just an options package , a blvd cruiser, a hopped up GT with more options and stripes and a bit more speed...
