I believe Ford will do the best they can to give the 2.3T a deep gutteral type rumble, with a sophisticated wail as RPM's increase.
I'm still contemplating the possibility of owning a 4 cylinder Mustang.
The '86 SVO was certainly a car I would've been ok with.
Here I am, a Mustang enthusiast being told by some Johnny come lately that "The Mustang Is Not that Car"
As per WHO..... You? Get used to it, some Mustang people would prefer the car to be lighter, and smaller.
If you want a big fat pig of a car, get a Challenger, or Camaro.
Unfortunately almost nothing ever gets smaller, Mustang II was an exception. I am somewhat dissapointed the S550 isn't marginally smaller.
My last car was a 135i convertable. Smaller, yet just as roomy as my previous to that 2008 GT.
Jeez, all of that, and nothing solved. Still a heavy hauler.
The vast majority of potential purchasers aren't reading sites like this. In fact the question of vehicle weight will never cross their minds. So realistically, Ford has little to worry about. They'll still sell lots of them.
For...
Misled... Blame Myself...Are you kidding me?... I don't care if the car is overweight, dissapointed? Yes, but I just won't buy it.
I'm not one of the people that put money down on this car.
But believe me, many potential buyers are not happy with this news.
That is the bottom line.
I too had been planning a new Mustang purchase anticipating it would be somewhat lighter. I am now reconsidering, and will not be as eager if the lb's are significantly higher.
People from Ford made it known over the last year or so that this car would weigh less, making it very desireable...
