  1. Guess the 2015 5.0 Coyote HP and TQ numbers

I don't understand why they chose to match up a bullet proof crank with good rods and "meh" pistons... Kind of a shame. I don't think the base 5.0 will outdo the Boss. But of course I would be delighted if I was wrong :)
  2. 2015 Mustang GT350 Confirmed?

I thought no more Shelby name?
  3. 2015 Ford Mustang Debuts in Need for Speed Rivals

What? Are you meaning to tell me that NFS is not a sim? So the 2015 will not have an attack value of 6.9 and a durability of 8.0? Damn...

Doesn't matter how you look at it, the Mustang, much like the C7, is without competition in it's segment. That may change depending on what the General has in store for the Camaro, but for the time being - Stang FTW.
  5. 2015 Ford Mustang Debuts in Need for Speed Rivals

Got the car last night. No notification, nothing. Started the game, bam, there it was, already unlocked in the garage. Drives pretty nice. It's NFS, so not that it means anything LOL, but I think it's the perfect handling for this sort of game. Tailhappy and nimble. Too bad EA effed up the rear...

Nice! I'm just saying, car culture is declining. Anything that helps get kids excited about cars is a good thing in my book.

Won the local SM autox championship in an SRT4 a few years back. There was no SMF at the time, so pretty much all the other cars were subarus. Long story short, you learn to drive a turbo and after a while it becomes second nature to throttle in in time to compensate for the lag. Left foot...

You geezers :p are missing one important point! Video games are something most kids are into. And getting kids into cars is a good thing, wouldn't you agree?

I'm in the exact same boat. If the EB 2.3 is anything like the SRT4 2.4, 500 Hp should be no problem. All depends on aftermarket support. The 5.0 on the other hand, will easily make 800... so... Tough choice. Really comes down to your use case and what the 5.0 really ends up weighing.

    Interesting question. Let's look at both ends of the possible spectrum. As in - best possible GT / EB, worst possible GT / EB GT - 420 hp - 3600 lbs - 37k$ EB - 330 hp - 3300 lbs - 28k$ GT - 450 hp - 3400 lbs - 35k$ EB - 305 hp - 3350 lbs - 30k$ See what I mean? Could very well be...

Not sure, just got the game last night. Purchased it right on the "store" from my bone. The menu in the store is confusing as FUKK! So I have no clue what all you can get for the game. Also, thus far I was not able to log on to the EA server, just offline play?!

Do we know if it's a free download? Had to buy the game now. It's the only way to experience both the C7 and the S550... Well. Not so much experience as violate, but still. If you look at it like an action game with cars, it's actually reasonably entertaining. Just don't refer to it as a racing...

Bought NFS Rivals yesterday. Checked this morning - no Mustang! What's the deal there, anyone know?

That's surprising to say the least. Good info.

That kind of power? Please. Dodge 2.4s get driven with 500 hp crank all over the country and last just fine while getting 25 mpgs. Don't worry about it. 300 hp out of a turbo 4 is old news these days. Oh and the EB has a forged crank I'm told. Just wait what the aftermarket will do to that...

Porsche Flat Farts are around 500 lbs, LS1s are 400. Yeah... German engineering my sweet behind. I know this is a Ford forum. I guess the Coyote is a little heftier than the LS with all those cams and valves? Either way, nothing beats USDM. Simple as that.
  17. "expected" weight gain

I could be wrong of course. Regarding the engines, that's a common misconception as well. There's a reason 90% of swapped cars use LSxs... And it's not power. Lots of ways to make that happen. What makes the LS sand out, is it's incredible compact and lightweight package! It weighs almost...

Nope. I forgot what it's now, but they mentioned something about space age composite yada yada.

Jup. Also, no more wood in the C7.

What? The frame IS aluminum and the hood and roof are CF, the rest is Fiber Glass... Everything driveline is AL...
