  1. "expected" weight gain

I'm still impressed how civil this discussion is going though. It's almost as if the posting individuals were adults :o
  2. "expected" weight gain

All the enthusiasts I know want smaller lighter cars. I have NEVER heard a single car guy anywhere, that was excited about the weight of current cars. Not at cruise nights, not at "street races", not at car shows, not at track days, not at autoxs, not at rallyxs, not at the drag strip. Never. Once.
  3. Blasphemy? S550 Rendered With Four Doors

Falcon, Maverick, heck - even crown vick would be cool to have back.
  4. 2015 Mustang Secret OEM Feature

I did read the thread, but at work, no images... Missed it. My bad.
  5. 2015 Mustang Secret OEM Feature

[ame] 1:07 Laguna Seca on the touch screen? Could this be it? Performance logging for popular tracks video game style? Want!

And with volume comes better pricing... Either way, curious to see what the actual numbers end up being. :)
  7. "expected" weight gain

Being the owner of a 2600 lbs SRT4 I am no stranger to car dieting. I don't think that 3400 lbs is unreasonable for the GT. In fact, I think it is good. Apparently, I was fed incorrect information when I heard that Ford was aiming to drop 400 lbs. So when they announced that they met their...
  8. Below the toggle switches

    Some right on Ford's homepage.
  9. Realistic goals for a pro-charged 2015?

A Pony with 630 whp would put a big smile on my face, that's for damn sure! Still reading through all kinds of forums, including the links above (thanks for that!). Lot's of good stuff out there.
  10. Performance Package

Good find though. Same trackaholic as on the C7 forums?
  11. Performance Package

Every wheel needs to look like a BBS these days I suppose...
  12. "expected" weight gain

Seriously, you will eat up rubber twice as fast in a 3400 lbs car than in a 3000 lbs car. Not to mention, you need a lot bigger, pricier rubber to make it turn to begin with.
  13. "expected" weight gain

In all honesty, one of the main reasons why weight is so important for a track car, is simply tire wear...
  14. What do you guys think about the new Stingray Corvette?

I would acquire the C7 solely as a track toy with occasional cruise night duties :) The base is one fine automobile, especially in Z51 trim. The mod plans I have laid out for it would make it even more capable, but as I said, the wide body on the horizon made me consider holding off. Also, I...
  15. What do you guys think about the new Stingray Corvette?

If the C7 pans out anything like C6, there will be a GS. As I stated, the wait will be a lot easier with a 700 hp Mustang in my garage ;)
  16. What do you guys think about the new Stingray Corvette?

Well, to me personally the Z06 teaser shot was the official - yes, there will be a wide body. Here's why: I am sure you have seen the leaked cad data with the wide body rear end? The wheels in said cad models are identical to the teaser shot and all the rumored camo cars had wheels of identical...
  17. "expected" weight gain

Well, not by today's standards I suppose, but I remember reading something about 3000 lbs even, which got me excited :)
  18. "expected" weight gain

So that would mean a 3400 lbs GT? That's still pretty porky...
  19. What do you guys think about the new Stingray Corvette?

I am planning on acquiring a C7 eventually, but now that the wide body is confirmed, I can't justify getting a base car... That just wouldn't work for me. Unfortunately, the Z06 is out of financial reach for me, in both acquisition and maintenance, so I'll wait a few years until a grand sport...
