Got loaner covered by Ford warranty. One would be a fool, or a very rich one, to not get the Extended Warranty. I will request that be extended further, and perhaps throw in a maintenance package. My incident cost me 2 full days at the track and a tow service that dented/destroyed my hood. Did I...
Ford pretty much told me it was all up to the dealership (which is bullshit) if they wanted to make you whole. I have made my complaint to both Ford and the GM of the dealership. Still awaiting GM's reply.
You can blame their third world socialist governments for that. Free market capitalism isn't the culprit. Regulated socialism is, and always is, and always was.
Federal/State policies and regulations are 100% behind businesses manufacturing abroad. I have a buddy who worked China manufacturing for years, and all his fellow American entrepreneurs in China are unanimous...remove crushing taxation/regulation, they want to be manufacturing here.
The only unique indicator that I captured was adequate temperature, but zero oil pressure, right when I started hearing the clanking...No block penetration or oil loss.
My engine popped at ~50% WOT conditions on track (first track day at 2300 miles). Sessions are <= 25 minutes...Proper break-in. No drag style launching...The engine should easily accomplish that effort.
There has not been any confirmation or talk of engine improvements to my knowledge. Ya, you'll want to get that Extended coverage. It had jacked up by x3, two months before I had bought my GT350 in November 2017.
That is good to know. I wonder if we can track engine iteration based on serial number. And I wonder how many versions of improvements will occur. I suspect we will never know.
