i saw a post the other day, that made sense. if everyone parks on the white line, every car will have equal space to get out of their car. when one person parks middle of space, and the person next to them parks on the line, theres less space. Maybe he's doing that?
Thought I might get it back today. Advisor messaged me saying mechanic was driving it to make sure everything was good.
Then asked if I had done anything so that the lockout didn't have to be raised to go into reverse, because it wasnt having to. The answer was no I didnt do anything, so...
in nearly 4 weeks i've texted my advisor 4 times and gone into dealership twice, once when I didnt get an answer, and today when he said it would be done.
I dont think thats being a pest but I could be wrong.
Good thing I didn't hold my breath.
Of course I got the run around again. The tool still didn't come in, its still at the other dealership that borrowed it. But someone is going to get it and the tech is coming in special tomorrow just for your car and should have it done by end of day.

Not holding my breath for tomorrow, but sure as heck hope so. I need...

There was one more part they were waiting to come in, should be done Wednesday or Thursday.
Service advisor called the guy in the back while I was there, he said the plastic pieces on the end of the fork for 3/4th gear broke off and...
Since I didnt get a reply, i decided to stroll down to the dealership just now. Advisor sent me to the service manager.
He told me straight forward *how i'd hope anyone would and all i wanted*, that the car hasnt been touched and earliest it may would be two weeks after i dropped it off...
On Friday the text I got from the service advisor is "will need to lower the transmission, keep the rental for now please".
Hopefully this means they're warranting it, I didnt okay any such work, so i'm hoping thats a sign of thats the case, but could be wrong?
not sure what you mean RapidRed...
the ball is the only thing that is aftermarket. the shifter is stock. i took the OEM ball to the dealership today, and showed them that nothing his hitting the lockout at all.
