Car back at the dealership....Wont go into Reverse

Well, here we are on Thursday, the day they said my car would be ready. Of course it's not.

I messaged them earlier, and get this, it'll be ready tomorrow by end of day, they had "tools delay" what kind of BS excuse is that?

Not holding my breath for tomorrow, but sure as heck hope so. I need some cruising therapy.

My guess would be there was a delay in someone actually picking up tools to work on it! Or possibly the guy working on it is a tool and he was late getting to work to work on it!

Of course I got the run around again. The tool still didn't come in, its still at the other dealership that borrowed it. But someone is going to get it and the tech is coming in special tomorrow just for your car and should have it done by end of day.

You think a paying customer *non warranty* would be getting this kind of crappy service?

in nearly 4 weeks i've texted my advisor 4 times and gone into dealership twice, once when I didnt get an answer, and today when he said it would be done.

I dont think thats being a pest but I could be wrong.

It's frustrating when the dealer doesn't give you the straight story. Looking forward to hearing that it is finally fixed.

Thought I might get it back today. Advisor messaged me saying mechanic was driving it to make sure everything was good.

Then asked if I had done anything so that the lockout didn't have to be raised to go into reverse, because it wasnt having to. The answer was no I didnt do anything, so they're looking into that now.

So I did get the car back finally yesterday. Below is the RO for it for anyone that wants to know.

Unfortunately the aftermarket ball will be what the dealer will blame. as it is literally directly connected to your problem. dealers will get you any way they can. they see it as get paid now by denying you warranty. i have had multiple law suits with Ford, thats all i buy is Fords and Lincolns. i have only won half of those suits. and it can get expensive. my lawyer says its like suing the government.

you might need to buy a different brand, If I had sued the manufacture multiple times over vehicles and lost half the suits I would stop buying from them .

I just drove home my 2023 GT custom-ordered and am having the same freaking problem! Called the dealer and im taking her in to be seen tomorrow morning. All gears work fine except reverse. Im freaking out. Please reply

You can check to see if the reverse lockout is working.
