Thoughts on the Taco vs the Xterra? I've got a 2010 X that just cleared 174K.. getting to the point where it's either dump a decent amount of money into it to keep it on the road, or go Taco / Colorado / Frontier.
Trust me, I'm not advocating for fatguy here, but the Z/28 was essentially a completely different car and not just an engine option. At MSRP is was a 30k+ price adder so of course it didn't affect SS sales. Now, if there was an option to drop a LS7 in a standard SS at the time for 5-7k you...
Eh, the Z/28 wasn't exactly just a large displacement (still small block though..) 'option' on the Camaro. It was an (overpriced) extremely track oriented option developed at the end of the life cycle of the 5th gen platform. No matter how popular it was it wouldn't have lasted more than 2...
What's funny is GM released the specs of their 6.6l truck engine, basically a stroked LT1. Because of the truck tune it only makes 401hp and 465 lb/ft, compared to the 455/455 of the 6.2l.
I think the LT1 would hold up decently to 700 rwhp, but that's about the limit of the stock pistons and...
I'd bet the steel rear links on the 'Maro are lighter than that monstrosity of a rear suspension on the Mustang.
Dude.. you're making a declaration that you believe the S550 is better and are presenting it as fact. How about you offer up some items to backup your claim?
Hell, at least you...
Maybe I missed it, but you didn't share that criteria.. Hell, a guy over on C6G made 772 hp / 700 tq on 92 octane with stock heads/displacement and 880hp / 850 tq on race gas with a maggie 2300.. so there!
Well, it worked out to 1 quart every 4700 miles, whereas the C&D long term GT350 went...
Didn't realize there was a criteria
Weird tune from Ford? Or they just didn't bother because they knew the ecoboost was going in? When chebby sticks the 6.2 in the Silverado it's rated at 420HP and 460 lb/ft
Source? Haven't heard the LT1 having an oil consumption issue, and I haven't lost...
Kinda figured that
Why not use those numbers then instead of cherry picking the stage 2 numbers? They're still higher..
And much more in the rest of the curve
It's tough with all the oil those Voodoos are throwing out the exhaust. Also, base engine compared to previous top end motor.
No...
The whipple website is.. weird. The 721 hp 5.0 is with the stage 2 kit, 3.0l supercharger and fueling upgrades. That same dyno chart shows a stage 1 5.0 at like 396hp, which doesn't seem right. I don't think they have an actual dyno chart of a stage 1 kit. The LT1 kit is a 2.9l supercharger...
I would say at least 75% of the Priuses (Priui? Prius'? Priuseseses?) are driving aggressively or fast lane 10+ mph over the limit. The rest are hypermilers going 10 under.. doesn't seem to be an inbetween with those things.
Of course, why would Ford even bother to put it in training material for dealers specifically related to warranty? How silly of me.
You're doing a pretty good job of proving that you don't.
You know that just clears short term fuel trims, radio presets, stuff like that, right? There's data in the ECM that's kept through a power loss or some simple reset procedure. And it's also 05-14, not current gen cars. You have no idea how modern car engine and body control modules work, do...
