I got a 3700lb RWD iconic muscle car with an amazing motor, amazing transmission and probably an amazing rear end. With a fantastic interior, class yet modern exterior, racing seats and a exploding aftermarket and community for 40k.
I'd say I did alright for the price.
Parts for the motor are all ready out. Its just a matter of fitting them on the new chassis. The only thing that might take a bit will be headers and the rest of the exhaust.
Honestly, everything that comes with the PP will be replaced for me anyway, with the exception of maybe the radiator and the front lip.
If I had to choose between the stuff that comes with PP or NOT having the mt82, i'll take the auto every day.
Okay so -3 from what I said lol. That just means it will be even safer on 87.
Realisiticly with 9.5:1 compression on 91 you could probably run 25 psi and be fine, especially with DI.
Turbo motors are much more sensitive to octane than its naturally aspirated counterpart. Luckily this motor will have DI which helps so you can get away with less octane or more boost than a non DI motor.
This motor will be pushing 18psi +/- and its 9.5:1 compression. You will have no problem...
I put 10k down and took out a 30k loan. My payments will be about 500 for the car and 250 for insurance. Im 23 and I live with my parents. I have a great full time job/benefits the whole 10 yards. I made a choice between making 800 payments for a car or an apartment. I chose the car. Eventually...
It may be my area but I was quoted 150$/month more from allstate than I was geico and progressive. Is allstate typically more expensive? I would be recieving same 100,000/300,000 coverage from all companies.
What company will everyone be going with for their mustangs? I'm a 23 year old single male with a clean record and I am trying to figure out the best course of action for insuring my 5.0
Thoughts / experiences with insurances companies? Any advice?
There are very few cars that stripes look good on. Vipers and Cobras (427's) are a couple that come to mind. This car.....not so much. Maybe i'll have to see it in person.
