Buying a boot lid and paying a bodyshop to paint it isnt happening considering ive had the car less than a week and its under warranty.
Even if it came to getting a third party to sort it surely that boot is fine to respray after a light repair.
That sounds promising. Was yours as bad as that? It looks shocking on such a young/low mileage car but i guess if its a known issue there is less chance of a claim being rejected.
Did you get a brand new boot lid or just a respray?
Yeah its shocking on a car with 7k miles.... I dont see how they can deny a warranty claim but as its so new to me i dont know if its something thats been raised before.
Have just noticed on my new to me 2018 GT really bad corrosion under the boot lid right on the back seam where it meets the rear window. Would appear that the metal welded over the seam had water ingress and is now hanging off with rust all around.
Before purchase I checked the usual spots on...
Yup just the silver emblem, not the whole cap. 2 on the same side as well. I think it might have been like that when i bought it but i didnt notice.
Had a look on ebay and the only genuine ones i can find are from latvia.
I have recently picked up my first mustang, a 2018 GT manual.
Anyway i noticed today that the little silver mustang emblem has fallen off/been nicked from 2 of the centre caps.
Bit of an odd one, anyone experienced this? Guessing ford will happily sell me 2 new ones for ÂŁ50+.
