Yes for me. Not an easy job but definitely doable if you have patience/medium mechanics skills and a good setup to lift car. I used 4 jackstands and I lifted the car to the max I could to make it easier to work from under. If you can have access to a lift for the job it would make it a lot easier.
I also daily drive my car in stop/go traffic and I cant see a difference in fatigue. Only "harder" part is reverse. Pushing down on lever vertically to engage reverse is harder than pulling a ring, but I got used to it.
I usually go but this year I'm working on the GP weekend. I'll try to watch on TV! Austin is an amazing track. I wish I could go someday for a track day event.
I would not say it makes shifting hard, it makes it more precise and mechanical. The only "muscular" part for me is getting in reverse. Pushing down to engage reverse takes some getting used to but maybe it's just my shifter since I never read anything about that part.
I second your saying. I drove the car for the first time on track last friday with the MGW shifter and I was really impressed by the feel when "pushed hard". Street feel was good, but track feel is incredible. I never missed a shift during the 5 twenty minute sessions!
If you are on the fence...
Amazing car! What front splitter/canards are these? I'm running APR front splitter with GT250 wing in the back but I love the look of your splitter! What lowering springs are you running?
Same setup here. The outside lap belt mounts by removing the front bolt of the seatbelt tensionner, loosening the rear bolt and sliding a B23 bracket between frame and tensionner aligned with front hole of tensionner and putting back the front bolt. On the inside you need to remove the seat and...
I'm on this group buy. This winter I installed the R springs and APR front splitter. I also have a set of track wheels with R-spec tires (30 series). The splitter is really low with this setup, making me rethink the lowering springs... I will probably try them out but it might make the car...
A friend of mine just got a set of Superforgiata for is TurboS. Really nice wheel, no compromise on quality and strenght (he's tracking the car). But price is up there.
I got a set of Forgeline GS1R with SC2 from PK... 3 pounds off the CF wheels, and you can choose finish/offset to suit your...
I just finished installing my SS brake lines as well as OEM track rotors and track pads. I also bought some Motul RBF 660. I have a Motive pressure bleeder...
I'm ready to bleed the brakes and I searched in vain a clear way of doing it (pressure used? wheel sequence? nipple sequence?)
For...
great write up! I haven't followed the whole FP vs Borla exhaust threads but basically what is the difference between the Borla vs the FP by Borla exhausts?
Bingo! Just dropped rear subframe down and it was off center by about 1/4 inch. May it's crazy how much play is possible on such a critical part of the car. Might as well be missaligned from factory!
Now I see how the alignment bushings would make it aligned. Just placed order!
