In the modern implementation the wires are so small you wouldn't notice them. GPS problems seem to be a thing of the past also - never had any issues with TomTom or my phone.
I'd heard they still had it although they let other manufacturers use it under license (i.e. they pay Ford money).
Luckily I have a garage, so don't use the quick clear on my Focus ST that much. I have the garage, but no Mustang to go in it (yet).
I'll be interested to see what real MPGs people get from both.
At the moment I get 26 from my ST Mark 2 (2.5T), the official figure is 30.4.
I would guess the EB will be around the same at around the 26 mark, and I guess the V8 will be 5-10 less depending on how you drive.
Very anecdotal, but for my old diesel Fabia vRS I used to get higher MPG running it on premium fuel. The extra miles exactly offset the higher cost.
Now I run my ST on premium for the same reason, plus as it is meant to clean the engine and injectors I think it's worth it.
If I go ahead...
My quotes come back as ~ÂŁ350 for both EB and V8 (same as I'm paying now for ST). 10k/year, garaged, full no claims, and (just) this side of 40.
Now I just need to decide whether I want the EB or V8...
Great - I'm the same. Awaiting a test drive before I drop that sort of money on a car.
Radio silence from my local dealer so far.
Has anyone on here had a test drive yet??
I've had no problems with my Focus ST overtaking in sixth. No, I don't do it in on an A/B Road, but it is so torquey that this is fine for the motorway. I don't mash the pedal, I just apply pressure until it feels like any more isn't actually giving extra thrust.
