He was referring to the quality of the metal used, not the quality of the product itself. The metal WMS chose isn't the highest quality available, but as they already mentioned in their post, a higher quality isn't necessary for the application.
They wouldn't, provided it is the Ford racing ECU tune. No dealer should question a Ford Racing part. However, you are no longer under the factory warranty for some components, but a new one with different terms backed by Ford Racing.
The bolts will have no difficulty securing the intake, and when you need to you'd be able to remove it as well. They may not be pretty, but they will work. Many shops use fasteners of the same quality in similar applications. This is partially why some shop's products are more expensive than...
Try doing it without a hard launch. Just take off slightly faster then normal and then hit the throttle. You won't hit a best time, but you'll do better than 6.5 if you're shifting on time. Should be able to nail a 6.0 (maybe even slightly better) using that method if you have your shift points...
In case it was missed, Mishimoto already has an oil cooler on the market. They have a pretty detailed thread about the development of it with plenty of data. Just thought I'd mention it since there hasn't been any talk about oil coolers aside from when that was under development.
Not attempting...
Same lesson applies to SCT. Why buy from any shop that isn't your tuner of choice (originally said:SCT directly) when you can have Torrie, WMS, or Bama tune you free of charge?
The real point is that when you buy an AP, it comes with those maps as a complimentary feature. You do not pay a cent extra for them. They are just there, and you don't need to run them. You can also buy an AP from some tuners and they might tune you free of charge, just like you do. Some might...
For those unaware, on other platforms users can disable engine codes as they see fit using the ATR software. On my MS3 and MS6 I disabled the codes associated with a catless downpipe upgrade. There is no reason to expect that it will be any different here. If the capability to do so isn't...
Awesome, I've been waiting on this. Excited to see some of the tuners that'll be working with this, and the numbers we'll be seeing. I already know of one that's definitely going to be joining the fray, but I don't want to steal his thunder.
ATR not being released was the only thing that kept...
I have this:
1987 Porsche 944S:
Chevy LT1 from 1994 Camaro (aluminum heads)
944 Turbo trans w/5th swapped from NA (open diff currently )
944 S2/Turbo brakes
944 Turbo front suspension
Needs a complete suspension upgrade, some sort of brake assist(currently manual), and...
Given the lack of data available for EB cars running an Intake/IC/DP with a custom tune, I think people are sorely underestimating this engine's capabilities. Few people are bothering to modify/tune since it's winter, things will start to take off with the warmer weather letting more owners get...
Matt Farah is a pretty big guy that has a few 2015 Mustang reviews that should answer your question. Can find them on the smoking tire YouTube page as one takes. Just recommending this because he's driving both of them with a helmet on.
The map switching is device specific. If the SCT X4 offers it, then Bama can make use of it. I don't believe the SCT offers map switching. I'd love to be corrected on that though. Bama could definitely provide multiple maps for different fuels, though they may not be able to be swapped on the...
