So -
-- The girlfriends son is 15.
-- She let's her kids buy their first car, by themselves, at age 15 so they can learn to drive in all weather conditions so by the time their 16, they're good and responsible. (he's driven the mustang to and from the apartment pool many times and around town...
Thanks for the effort on the write up. I was considering upgrading the intercooler and was going to go with a mishimoto; ordered the ETS instead this morning. Wasn't about to pay $139 to have it painted black so silver it is.
Not to drag out the catch can discussion anymore, but a different...
I dunno :( Neither snowperformance.net or american muscle lists which controller it comes with and americanmuscle.com is taking their good 'ol sweet time getting it to me (rolling on 2 weeks now since I ordered it).
In my chat with the techs at snow yesterday - they said hold down both 1 and 2...
Ideally, I'd use it when I want to have some fun, right? No need for it in the morning at 5am on my way to work. But yeah, maybe - I had a rough day at work and wanna have some fun on my way home. So while the switch is to kill it for the winter, I'd probably kill it more like 5-6 times a week...
After a quick back and forth with Snow Performance, I learned that I can put a switch on the control module power line to strait up disable the system and not spray any methanol.
I'm interested in doing this because a: it's a daily driver and I don't want to use it all the time. b: Winter will...
I will when I place another Amazon order / get a new ODBII adaptor. Whatever crap one I bought last year didn't work with Forscan and I forgot about it after a while. And I haven't met anyone in the area that's into tuning / modifications to borrow one. Even went out looking for performance...
Alright - so that was NOT the microphone in question, lol... cutting it off neither reduced the noise nor allowed me to talk hands free over carplay, lol...
'need to find the soldering iron now, haha.
Whatever. It's become tolerable. It's growing on me.
For changing an exhaust ? Now that's funny...
The tune maybe and the methanol injection I'm installing as soon as it comes, yeah probably - but let's not be ridiculous and say the exhaust will void it.
For now at least. The old one is gone with the trash by now and I'm not about to spend another $800+ for a different sound. Maybe I'll try one of those Vibrant resonators but I'm used to it now.
So long as it doesn't sound like a Civic (which I don't think it does) I'll live with it for now.
The sound deadening material has helped. Or I'm just getting used to it.
Maybe as it's been broken in it's softened up a bit - took a good 200 mile round trip to Toronto this last weekend (indy car race). QEW speeds it's loud for sure, but around town / on my way to work, it's "tolerable"...
'Been noticing a rattle - sounds like some sort of heat shielding - first thing in the morning on my way to work / cold start.
It rattles for maybe a second or 2 and then goes away. Roads to work vary from bumpy to highway driving (half hour drive) - never hear it again until the next...
Installed a Flowmaster catback exhaust Wednesday.

At low RPMs its not bad. 3k+ and its really droney. Some trial and error figured out its coming from the trunk.
Pulled the spare tire; stuffed it with some...
I've been itching to install my 20s from Steeda but every day to work it's like playing hide and seek with pot holes on the road. This winter has destroyed our roads in Buffalo, NY.
Trying to make a mental map of all of the major ones to avoid them in a few weeks. Some are hard to see at 6am...
This cannot be stressed enough. I’ve daily driven my Mustang every day this winter; through ice / sleet / > 5 inches of snow and 1 white out i think.
Full set of snow tires (all 4)
Immediately put it into snow / wet mode
And still, I’m taking on-ramps at 5-10 mph and when it’s been bad...
(ecoboost premium)
Not a brake pro by any means; normally I lease my cars and normally brakes last well through the lease, so I haven't changed brakes in over a decade probably.
But I'm down this path of modding the Mustang so, why not brakes now also?
I hear the little rubber nub or metal...
The problem is there isn't a luxury Mustang. Just higher performance models. Should be a package that can be added to ecoboost / v8 to bring it up to par with say an m4 or m5 or etc... The power is there (at least on a V8) but the quality isn't
That said I miss:
-- side mirrors that tilt down...

Looks like it should work - not the best reviews, but I've had Viper security systems in the past and they've worked fine.
Might have to hit up best buy or a car audio shop and see what they say.
Thanks guys.
