Take it in for something small. I took mine in for a fouled aftermarket plug once. They charged me and asked 'Do you have a tuner on this car, cuz I can find out..." Paid for the service then blacklisted them. Then got to know at least a few ppl in my local Mustang community. Best bet is to ask...
If you're worried about warranty at all with regard to aftermarket parts, then wheels and tires are the mod for you as they're about the least amount of sh*t you can give a dealership when it comes to mods.
A good set of tires will allow you to achieve another level of performance w/o upping...
Sorry to go OT but, more importantly, what year/color is that Dodge Stealth TT? I had a 2nd gen 3000GT back in the late 90's/early 2000's so I couldn't just let that slide. The reason I bought this car was bc it brought back the same emotions from that car.
LSPI. That is a condition caused by gear and driver input. No way to 'monitor' that with a device, other than being conscious of it in your own head and being diligent to avoid it.
To put it in perspective, some of the more notable boosted 4 bangers of all time aren't capable (power limits) of much more than what this thing can do. The catch is, this car is at least a couple or several hundred pounds heavier than say, a DSM, Evo, a 240 or STI.
It may take a couple of...
The PCV system on all motors has also been upgraded since the block's production moved to the US.
Sorry about your engine. But if, as you say, you accounted for this going in, and 6 grand is not a big deal, I would absolutely put an upgraded motor in that thing. It will take whatever you want...
Strange how they kept the upper grille untouched from the '15. Looks like a photoshop that came to life. I still don't think it looks as good as the '15. It also doesn't seem like a natural progression. More like, how can we change this and not totally ruin it. I'm not sure the Mustang would've...
Seem to be going backwards. Get used to the car, first. Second, invest in some minimal protection by getting a catch can. Then shop for a tune, then change your exhaust. Getting a downpipe will just throw a CEL and confuse the load parameters on the stock ECU.
First of all, get your boost issue sorted out.. Check all of your hose clamps especially the turbo and the hot side intercooler pipe. If you cannot locate it I would at least uninstall your tune and see if the dealer can nail it down. Don't add power if the cars not running right. Second, if you...
Both. Early engine builds coupled with abuse, improper break-in, dealer demos, test drives. Who's to say how that thing was treated. Not to say all the early models were bad, but take one that was built with improper tolerances, throw some abuse at it for 10K miles. Would you want it next?
I...
