any modern detector filters majority of false alarms. you can even block K band (cross traffic/blind spot band) altogether since no one really uses that much anymore. highway patrol uses Ka and laser...
laser jammers. AL Priority, and Escort both have kits. with proper placement, it prevents the cop from locking on. Its really quite amazing.
I use Escort products for the last 15 years or so. Saved me no telling how much in tickets or prob more realistically, losing my license.
is anyone running a custom installed radar or laser jammer setups? AL Priority, Escort Max CI etc. I've been contemplating installing the jammers but am having a hard time wrapping my head around the ascetics of the jammer unit placement. Some installs look better than others lol.
For reference...
I agree with you completely. And, I'll add that this is a very unusual experience for me... just ask @alan0614 , I'm usually the first to help spend the shit out of other peoples money on car mods LOL. But in the is case, I just cant justify it. Hope I've helped you:)
As Alan said, I’ve spent a ton of time with Kook’s R&D team (I’m local to them). I tried their catless headers with my factory R exhaust... I’ll be completely honest here: below 3500rpm it sounded like shit. Raspy, empty, hollow and drone. At 5000+RPM it sounded awesome (like an F1)but was just...
Someone had a bad install or something lol. You’re not going to experience that by changing over to those FP springs. Also that sounds like a dampening issue not a spring issue. Maybe they had a magnaride issue idk... that description is def not the norm.
I get it. I’ve never updated the firmware on mine. I have it set and don’t plan to mess with it much again. I’ve thought a few times to add some dampening stiffness back in in normal bc it might be a touch too soft when you start to get rowdy. But I never have. Interstate or cruising in normal...
obviously picked up some on low end but nothing like what you'd get with a roots style. And you describe one of the reasons I hinted at earlier: this engine isn't a CPC. Never going to have the torque of one either. just didnt fit the build in my mind.
Yea I know how the suspension components work. DCS made measurable track gains and I could tell instant difference between the modes and the harshness of the car ride from cruising to WOT. The biggest area of improvement for me was being able to put more power down to ground because the body...
I know people that run the FP springs and they're very happy with the performance. And thats on the twisty mountain roads. I think T has the FP springs all the way around and was happier on track with his.
my opinion is the R suspension was WAY too stiff for non perfect roads like, off track lol. Regular roads under aggressive driving caused major wheel hop and general traction issues. I use DCS suspension controller to help and it made a huge difference. I'm going to FP springs/sways sometime...
depends on your perspective, but yes, I'd say it matters a great deal on a car meant to handle like this. refusal to give up that strut bar, in combination with not want to lower the engine and lose the precision set up that ford performance spent millions developing is the reason I went with a...
Prob a lifter/lash adjuster making noise. running it hard "pumps it up" (hydraulic) and it quiets down for awhile. Not a real issue... take it to a performance shop that knows what they're doing. Once you know, you can always have the dealer do it if you trust them...
rod let go? Anyway thats a legitimate blow! it does happen. MY18 cars received different pistons/rings but I thought rods were the same. Anyway, 15-17 engines significantly different from 18 and up. 19 got a slightly updated block and then 20 has the 500's block. Most "oil consumption" issues...
Sounds like wheel hop... Turning or even straight line while accelerating hard and going over bumps in the road cause the rear to "hop" and lose traction.
