Thanks Tom, I thought so also, almost looks like some kind of fuse puller with a finger ring. I looked under the passenger seat and did not see one like it.

I took the driver seat out and replaced the bottom cushion, all went well but when putting the seat back in I noticed this small clip type part on the floor next to the car, could not figure out where it goes or its purpose, looks like some sort of retaining clip, if anyone can solve this...

Hey, just picked up the new cushion but before I take apart the seat can someone confirm this is the correct part # FR3Z 63632A23H.

I am pretty sure there is some kind of defect in the cushion. I also can make the leather look like new but you can feel the depression in the cushion, so the heat gun trick works until you sit on it again. I ordered the new cushion and will replace it myself, looks easy.

Thanks Kent, also got the service manager to order the break recall part and a recall for the back up camera also so I only have to take the car in once. I think I will remove the seat and just take that to the auto upholster, think its easy to remove.

Thanks but I ordered a new cushion today, $125.00, on backorder, I think the original cover can be used. I will take it to an auto upholstery shop and see what they say if I should get a new one or not.

I would but the dealer is 1500 miles away.

Used a heat gun and it went back to normal but when I sat in it again same thing happened. I think there is a defect in the foam underneath, a concavity, so the only thing that will fix it right is to get a new seat and I don't think Ford will go for it. I will take car in when break recall is...

You would think so, but when I went to dealer today they could care less. I asked if my car was effected by the break recall and was told yes. I asked them to order the part for the recall and was told you must make an appointment first to have the car looked at to diagnose the problem. I said...

Nothing in my back pocket. I will talk to service manager today and see what he says. I noticed this just after I got the car. It would come back to normal at first but now it stays there.

It feels much softer where the indentation is., like there is a defect in the foam underneath.

Had my car for 5 months now and this seat keeps getting worse. I am 6ft'1" but only weight 155lbs. I would think the seat could handle my weight. Should I complain to the dealer to replace it or is this normal for a car with only 2000 miles?
